It won't win any beauty contest or rc flight competitions, But I head plenty of joy in your voice while flying. And you can't beat the price for the materials.
I would have used a box of cheerios then you could have had some ready made wheels to go with the plane. Great effort and it put a smile on my face to see the fun. (Try around 8-10 degrees for the dihedral as a starting point).
As good a reason as any to reintroduce carbs in our diets. I suspect a couple of degrees positive incidence for your wings and ditto negative for your stab would calm down the pitchyness. Great project!
@@AndrewNewton LOL! I was just musing about "With all those little toys included in the bottom of the brekky fuel box, you'd want to do a proper sieve-through before shovelling it into yer gob!" 😜🤣🤣
Wouldn't it be funny if they did a promo where you could redeem a token and get the r/c gear, like in the old days and the cutouts are printed on the back of the box !..
So you'd have to buy at least 2 boxes before you could get both the RC kit and the plane materials after cutting the coupon from the first box. A cunning plan, Baldrick! That'll get you the key to the (non-execuctive) Company bathroom!
@@theoztreecrasher2647 We used to knock stuff like this out of click flooring underlay, foam 6mm I think it was. Crash it take the gear out build another.
@@bomberaustychunksbruv4119 Yep. There's a stack of old foam blocks stashed in our old mate's shed from the days when we all had more go in us. Just dragging a folding chair into the shade of a tree is about all the enthusiasm we can muster these days. Gotta have a young whipper snapper on site to round up the strays or we'd run out of toys pretty quick! 🙃😉😊
Great to see you back doing these oddball planes again.
Oh boy, something to watch in the morning! Nothing better than a good Andrew Newton box build with morning coffee.
A bit of silliness with an educational purpose. Enjoy your coffee
Love the eccentric designs. Thanks for the video Andrew!
By far the best budget build video on You Tube! Brilliant!
Mr Newton, thank you for this gem and all the others. You give me ideas and inspiration. Excellent
Appreciate the kind words!
Great fun little plane, it’s awesome when you do these types of builds.
Ta, just having some fun
Uncle Tobys would be proud of your creation. 😁👍
Yes, I'll have to let them know
Andrew! I love these crazy builds! Sooo good! Thanks for making it fun and promoting out of the "box" thinking!
The antidote to those $200 + arf's and pnp planes. Beautiful job. Thx for the inspiration.
Happy new year Andrew! This is such a fun vid. Cool little build. Love it!
Love these series of DIY builds 👌
Please make more such videos❤. It was really informative and just shows, how easy it is to enter into rc plane.
Thanks, I'm always looking at boxes that arrive.
@AndrewNewton great to hear about it, if you have some spare time, do try out other materials like corosheet, depron , etc
Love the look! If I squint I see Bf109!

The Uncle Toby Flyer. Great build.
Hello, you are a master of art.
Thanks!
You never cease to amaze me .if I ever get marooned on a island I want you there 😂😂😂
What could we make with coconuts and palm leaves?

Thanks Al. Should have consulted you first.
That’s why your so good at this , eating parts like that for breakfast
Haha, crunchy!
Nice one, Andrew! I find that a Toblerone tube makes a super-strong (and delicious) fuselage.🤭
Mmm, I have one hidden for such emergencies
nice build, good fun to watch
if you got the cg right you should use the radio trim for elevator and add some dual rates and expo it will fly much smoother. great job on the build!
Can't remember the last time I saw something that fun coming out of a cereal box! 😂
awesome.
Beautiful 😁😁👍👍
Nice little plane... It porpoises like it was tail heavy

Love it!!
Reminded of when we were kids, my brothers and I, we would make kites 🪁 out of anything thin we would get our hands on lol.
i remember when u did get something at the bottom of the cereal box as a prize
Oh yes, such a thrill

I've always put a few degrees right and down to the motor/prop on my builds. Do you do the same, or find it necessary?
That was probably part of the problem. I did try to angle the thrust down a bit not enough it seems.
with a few tweaks might make a good little plane maybe needs some better glue
Been rebuilt better now
Break fast flyer!
Great video appalling sound track
Yes it's marginal. I'll look for more options
Not a bad effort. Really needs a top-of-the-range flight controller, Spektrum receiver and iX20 transmitter to realize its full potential though. 🤔😉😊
PS Like the Bunnings plastic angle stiffener. Was looking at that a couple of days ago when I was in getting another pack of AA's.
Ha, yes and flaps and retracts. The spar is just folded card but I know what you mean
@@AndrewNewton Thanks Andrew, I didn't catch that! But then I DID feel lucky to just squeak past the annual licence medical yesterday! 😱😈
Muy bueno
Gracias
My planes when fell for first time to trim , then I often need to trim them in my work shop with extra glue patches 😅😅
Haha, we all do too
Damn it even got proper airfoil
Plane to hot glu ratio never be so Low
A bit rough but will fly again
My cereal box plane flew with no motor. I ate the cereal and threw the box in the trash can. It flew a couple feet but hey, it flew! ;-)
Haha, that made me laugh
@@AndrewNewton 🤣
👍💪✌
ขอบคุณมากครับ
No problem, thanks
Ps sone more past planes please John woodfine
Always thinking about them. I will eventually
