When Rocky first opened my big sister who was 16years old took me to see for my 9th Birthday. People shouted , clapped, cried , cheered. It was an absolute amazing experience. Carl created a character that you hissed at I Rocky 1, felt empathy with in Rocky 2, respected and liked in Rocky 3, and deeply mourned in Rocky 4. It was one of those very rare black characters at the time that was allowed a full emotional evolution. Carl’s brilliant skills of an actor made him unforgettable. Thank you Carl for being so generous with your gifts.
