At the heart of MCF's mission is the belief that children, when given the right tools and knowledge, can advocate for their rights and effect significant change within their communities.
Through various educational programs, children learn about their rights under acts such as the Right to Information Act 2005, the Juvenile Justice Act, and the Right to Education Act, as well as understanding their responsibilities.
MCF enables children to form Bal Sangathans, or children's groups, which serve as platforms for collective action and advocacy. These groups provide an enabling environment for children to voice their opinions and learn about crucial issues like child rights, gender equity, health and sanitation, natural resource management, and disaster preparedness.
Their work supports the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal SDG 4 (Quality Education).

एमसीएफ के मिशन का आधार यह विश्वास है कि बच्चों को जब सही उपकरण और ज्ञान प्रदान किए जाते हैं, तो वे अपने अधिकारों की वक़ालत कर सकते हैं और अपने समुदायों में महत्वपूर्ण बदलाव ला सकते हैं।
विभिन्न शैक्षिक कार्यक्रमों के माध्यम से, बच्चे सूचना का अधिकार अधिनियम 2005, किशोर न्याय अधिनियम और शिक्षा का अधिकार अधिनियम जैसे कानूनों के तहत अपने अधिकारों के बारे में जानकारी प्राप्त करते हैं, साथ ही अपनी ज़िम्मेदारियों को भी समझते हैं।
एमसीएफ बच्चों को बाल संगठन या बच्चों के समूह बनाने के लिए प्रोत्साहित करता है, जो सामूहिक कार्रवाई और वक़ालत के लिए मंच के रूप में कार्य करते हैं। ये समूह बच्चों को अपनी राय व्यक्त करने और बाल अधिकारों, लैंगिक समानता, स्वास्थ्य और स्वच्छता, प्राकृतिक संसाधन प्रबंधन और आपदा तैयारी जैसे महत्वपूर्ण मुद्दों के बारे में जानने के लिए एक सशक्त वातावरण प्रदान करते हैं।
उनका काम संयुक्त राष्ट्र के सतत विकास लक्ष्य एसडीजी 4 (गुणवत्तापूर्ण शिक्षा) का समर्थन करता है।
