So beautiful, and my family lives nearby.
GREAT aerial views Mike!!! Do you mind if I share this for a property I am listing tomorrow?
Very nice video. Thanks for sharing. Got to visit the Hutchinson Island back in March. Beautiful place
I am going there. Awesome!
Fantastic video
Wow. I give it 5 to 10 years at the most. Whoosh. Mother nature will come.
Mother nature has been coming for 100's, maybe thousands of years. Its still there. Gilbert's House of Refuge (in the vid at the tower) was built in 1904. Mother nature has been coming and not gotten any of it yet. I'll bet it will be around more than another 5 to 10 years
nah that's been there since 1715 when the Spanish ships carrying gold sunk just off the coast in that area.. that's why its called the treasure coast because you can find gold coins on the island beaches from those wrecks still.. www.history.com/this-day-in-history/hurricane-sinks-spanish-treasure-ships
I did the renovation work with Mike Grenniman on that house with the green roof.About a year to do.
Small world. Does Sylvester still work for him ?
What type of rocks are those on the beach? lava?
The rocks on shore in the vid are mostly limestone I think. The reefs in the area are made by sabellariid worms that cement together sand and bits of shell to form porous rocks and ledges. So it could be some combination thereof
Oolitic limestone and coquina(sp?). Bust it open and find shells that Sara Palin says are 6000 years old. BlowjDawg above is masturbating to her picture
Florida is a super interesting state once you leave the cities
The House of Refuge at Gilbert's Bar is located on or next to Anastasia formation, a geologic formation deposited in Florida during the Late Pleistocene epoch. Formation is composed of quartz sands and calcite coquina, with sporadic instances of fossil debris. The beach next to the House of Refuge, Ross Witham Beach, is named after a local environmental activist Ross Witham, also known as the "Turtle Man." Through public education and in his role as Marine Turtle Coordinator for the Florida Department of Natural Resources Mr. Witham had a profound impact on the field of sea turtle biology and conservation.
I live a few minutes from here
I was just visiting. Returning in a few days to shoot some more
is this the south side of the island at Jensen beach side?.. go further down to bath tub reef beach area
+Some One bath tub has really changed. Not sure what is going on there. Last year it looked horrible. But it's on my list to check this year
so wheres the new video
We had bad weather most days when I was there. Did some shot gun golf on one of the only good days. I let my nephews fly that day. I have a few pics of the woods, but nothing special. So no flying over the island
