We used to go to JB every year for a vacation back in the 70’s . The downtown was full of gift shops , it was fun as a kid to go through all the shops . We used to stay at what now is called Pelicans Rest Motel but back in the 70’s it was very nice place .
In 1971 when I was 11 I was swimming at the beach and got hit in the head by a surf board , 8 stitches .
My dad bought 2 homes there and rented them out but always had problems with renters so he sold them 2 years later .
We used to go to Christmas service at a large church on Skyline Dr , what a view .
Poor Bobs at the causeway and Indian River Rd was a great place to eat . I believe a hurricane took it out .
Moving to jensen soon from palm beach county! So excited! Thank you for this video
😡
I moved here from NYC in 2003 and never looked back.
It’s such an amazing place!
Wow! Sold!
Thanks for making this video Chris. 👍
I’ve been visiting the Treasure Coast for many years. I especially enjoy Jensen Beach, Stuart, and nearby Jupiter in Palm Beach County. I hope to get a condo in the area sometime soon.
Thank you for your informative videos. I was hunting Martin County area and just bought a house on Port Saint Lucie, 18 min from Jensen Beach. We have never been to the area at all so looking for things to do and the lay of the land.
It's such a cool place here!!
Bro don't let out the secret🤫😂
I know man. I’ve been getting that a lot. Lol
Good surf too when it’s season
🤫 the secret is out. We love visiting JB in winters from Upstate New York. We will make it our permanent home eventually. 👍🌴🌴🌴
It’s such an awesome place!!
Thank you for this well explained video, I plan on moving there in South Florida from California.
YES YES YES! When you're ready...let me know!
We’re full. Tired of people moving into our quant town and ruing it. It’s overpopulated now, tearing down trees for builders, traffic has become unbearable, and prices have skyrocketed for housing. I’m pissed 😡
I lived on Hutchinson Island 🏝️ in the 1980s. I went to Jensen Beach only to go to the Winn Dixie. There was no place to hang out. It's changed so much. I love the Snook Nook
That’s disingenuous. I also was around Jensen in the 80’s Scott. It was here but business has changed.
Awesome video!!
We moved here in August and absolutely love it!!!!☀️🌴💕
Thank you so much! It’s such an awesome place!!! Welcome!!!
@trail riding thank you for watching! :)
Go away.
Great video!!
Been vacationing in this area for years,
my wife & I absolutely love it. Will be making a permanent move soon.
Thanks so much!! It’s such an awesome place!! Let me know when you’re moving and I’d love to help! :). Thanks again for watching and commenting!!
@@ChrisThiel Thank you!!
@@JT-wn7wb you’re welcome!!
Go away. Your ruining our small town along with everyone ells who isn’t from here
Skyline Drive might be one of the best locations in all of Florida. Fucking spectacular view that you get nowhere else.
So agree. It’s awesome there.
I love Jensen beach. Coming down to vacation again in June of 2021.
That’s awesome Thomas!!! It’s awesome here!
@@ChrisThiel Sure is a different World down there compared to Indiana. :) How are they right now about the mask requirements at the small business like the shops on osceola street in Stuart?
@@FallHammer2012 there is not a mask mandate but for the the most part people are wearing them in the stores.
The beach pull offs. Devoid of of tourists, all the amenities, just the sound of the waves.
I have a question. I was bicycling north through the Treasure Coast right after Hurricane Dorian in autumn 2019. There was a little used book shop in a plaza on Jensen Beach Boulevard. Is she still there?
Jensen awesome but getting crowded now, and expensive to live here due to high insurances, high HOA’s, and rents- sad
Hi Chris,
Great video. My wife and I are retiring and trying to decide on a Florida beach-town to move to. Jensen is high on our list without even visiting. You’re video is very helpful. Thanks
Please don’t come here. It’s getting over populated here.. it’s a small town and everyone who isn’t from here is making it to a city like place and changing everything and taking down all our trees making it look ugly. Please go away.
we love it here, nice video
Stop making Jensen sound so amazing. Your making it where to many people wanna live here. Everyone who’s now seeing this comment just know there tearing down almost any tress we have left just so y’all can have a new neighborhood.. I hate everyone go away. It used to be peaceful where everyone knew everyone. There goes our small town.
So true!
I don’t live in Jensen but so many places I used to love all over Florida have been absolutely ruined in the last 20 or so years by too many freakin ppl. But, I have no more right to it than they do I guess…😩
Still a shame. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted
Happened to Delray Beach, just south of you. Used to be such a small town and houses down near beach were affordable. No more to that.
I’ve lived in JB for 36 yrs and it’s been over run with new comers and developers. We are not happy. I live on IRD and it has become a hazard. Our quant little town is getting ruined 😡
but its fine
I live in Jensen beach
Do you like it here?
@trail riding lol
Me too
Is the sand white?
No
Are you a real estate agent?
Yes I am! :)
Jensen Beach is interesting. I will put it on my list of places to retire.
Excellent. Please let me know if you have any questions.
@@ChrisThiel
Hi Chris, questions
1. are there good major hospitals nearby? 2. What is the crime rate? Is it safe? Thanks
@@mjgalante1 yes...there are 2 hospitals close by...one is in Stuart and the other is just north of Jensen Beach. The crime rate in Martin county as a whole is very low. It’s an amazing place.
@@ChrisThiel thank you
@@mjgalante1 anytime!!
What type of real estate is on the beach? Condos, homes? What would be the price for something on the beach? Maybe investment to rent June, July and August? We would visit March, April and May?
Good luck. 🍀
Probably not unless you’ve got funds
Overpriced.
No it’s not good. We don’t want or need any more people on the treasure coast.
I noticed in my limited travels around the Florida coastal areas in the gulf coast and the Atlantic coast the lack of diversity in the population. I wonder if minorities do not feel welcome in these areas?
as white man would I feel comfortable living in a black neighborhood ? I would be in the minority also
i been here secns a baby opp my spelling what ever i hate it
????
This place is boring ass hell I just moved here and hate it
Once you move north of Palm Beach, beginning at Hobe Sound, and going north it is a lot more laid back and even boring. Boating, fishing, the ocean and nature is the draw.
@@inquisitor4635 yeah there is plenty of ocean. But hey I’m Back in Beautiful Los Angeles
