I discovered one problem with these crash bars. I have also them installed on my Tracer. The problem is that they are too low to the ground, and if you have track days or fast canyon rides be sure not to touch the pavement with them. I am thinking about changing them to SW Motech maybe.

HEED has recalled the old crash bars as the ones I have are the new ones 👍
Make sure you contact them and they will replace them free of charge 👍 as the old model has been found as it touches the ground when leaned over and the replacement is much higher and will not be interfering at all 👍 hope this helps mate and get them sorted 👍

Hi Alin, I note from later videos that you has what looks like plastic caps on the end of the tube sections of the bars where the bolts are fitted to the frame. Did they come with the bars, or did you buy them seperately. If so, could you provide a a link to where you bought them from please.
    Many thanks

do the bags come with the crash bars. How is the quality of the engine guards. A gentleman actually trimmed the mounting bar. I would take that mounting bar to a metal fabrication person and have them trim the bar to fit. Than I would paint it with LINE X. Which is a a protective coating.

Hi Alin, I have ordered these aswell. (pending arrival) Have you had any problems that the crashbars hit the ground earlier than the footpegs? I read something about this on a Spanish forum about the low version of these crashbars (so not the bunker ones) can you comment? (and maybe also if they would also take the higher footpegs setting?)

I have also heard some people had this issues however HEED recalled them back ,

Sorry to hear your experience but Honestly, I did the same thing, I didn’t payed attention and cross treated one of the bottom bolts and when I wanted to tight it up it broke so I had to drill it out but likely when I’ve put the new bolt in , I’ve made sure I won’t cross tread it again and it went in just fine,
I put it in and out few times just to make sure the trad was fine and it was.
I’ve used one of the other bolts from HEED and replaced one from the top with original as it was the same length so no drama there 👍
Hope you get it resolved 🤞

Unfortunately, I haven’t measured them, however, on one of them I used to keep an electric pump with puncture repair kit and couple of chain cleaner and lube cans,
On the other one used to carry a small tool kit, a torch and a battery bank.
Ohh and a redbull 🤣 that when I’ve dropped the bike once made a mess inside 🤣
The are not the biggest ones out there but they are well made and waterproof ✅ and made specifically for these crash bars from HEED 👍
