Years ago, I had a really good chocolate chip cookie recipe that used whole wheat flour and regular flour. I haven’t made them in years because I don’t usually have whole wheat flour. .I have a rather important hockey game to watch tonight, but I will look tomorrow to see if I still have the recipe. 🏒🍪❤

Butter has gotten so expensive and I still have a good stock of coconut oil. What do you all think of substituting it in the soda bread? Will it work?

I don’t know if that would work. You wouldn’t be able to get that crumbly texture like with the cold butter 🤔 but if you try it let me know how it turns out! 😏🧡

@@JessicaWanders Well, luckily we cleaned out the freezer today and found several pounds of butter I hadn't realized were there. My problem is postponed! I will let you know when I try it. Right now I'm making banana bread with some frozen bananas I found.

I use flour for bagels, rolls and pizza. I also have sourdough that I keep going feeding it every day.
