Nice trick but these loud clickers make my skin crawl.. they are WAY to loud for the dogs AND the trainers ears..I know a trainer who hs damaged his ears from using a loud clicker. he got tinnitus.. horrible.. and the og with sensitive ears.. get a "inside" clicker for indoor work..
Your timing with the clicker/treat is probably very confusing for beginners who don't know that those are supposed to closely follow, unless the dog already associates the clicker with the treat.
how do you get a dog to switch paws? my dog can tap an object with his right paw but not his left paw. It doesnt matter what or how I try to get him to do it with his left paw it,he just doesnt grasp it. He's also like that with the "hand shake" trick too.
Like people dogs prefer one foot over the other. In the video it was why she used the target and her hand to block his left paw so he would do it with the right one.
That is probably one of the cutest dog tricks I've ever seen! I'll be sure to give it a try :3
the joylessness of this training is so off-putting. No praise, no communication , just that awful clicker.
