I tried westside once and my wife left me for an IPF lifter. NOT EVEN ONCE
Conjugate training works best for my adhd brain. If I fail a max effort lift I have a new weakness identified and I can change my workout immediately.
Goddamn dude. Best video yet. You deserve to blow up for this one.
5:59 I have no idea what's going on with that bar but that's amazing.
We called it the bat wing 😂
Great video. I didn’t realize you had a RUclips channel.
Great video!
Such good content, Doc. Very applicable and lots of immediately usable information.
8:00 - this happen to me back in the day. We would work up so heavy with bench shirts not only touching but then doing board presses and reserve bands for overload that I was too tired to do anything else but a few pushdowns
More intros like this please
New best Seth video
Making it happen every video from here on out
Love the channel. Can’t wait to see it blow up.
Right there with ya 😂
lol you looked like a grumpy younger Jo Jordan in the beginning.
Goal was a 2009 Ryan Selk 😂
Brilliant informative video. Just stumbled across your channel and subscribed straight away.
THANK YOU
you can’t say that
Quads are a myth
Westside is the best side 😡
Ive been doing this i am a raw bench presser i was struggling with 225 for 6 reps now 4 years later my one rep max is 480 at a 230 bodyweight so it does actually work for raw how about al of the 600 plus raw benchers at westside barbel explain that to me
Need more, much more
A great video.
Too much division - raw vs geared, conjugate vs linear. Dave Tate said it's all the same, and I tend to agree. I've been training conjugate ever since I heard about the system (going on 4 years now) as a raw lifter, and have seen nothing but progress. Read the Book of Methods. Take what's useful. Leave what isn't. Use (what used to be) common sense. This was a great video. 👍🏿
THANK YOU
Unpopular opinion but I think equipped lifters should prioritize tempo work way more than speed work. How many equipped squats or benches do you see that have a fast eccentric portion? Zero. I understand speed work helps reduce fatigue due to volume and intensity reduction but I personally don’t think it has much carryover personally.
I’d agree - that’s kind of where max effort comes in and definitely where a well selected secondary movement can come into play - but when dudes do the ME then dip out they’re not gonna figure that out haha
What is westside and what is raw ?
fake news quads aren't real
WESTSIIIIIIIIIIIDE
Great video!
