This song is criminally underrated (no pun intended).
I remember watching this video when it first came out. I’m still a fan 😊.
Amazing singer songwriter and entertainer!! Got to hear him live at Wonderland!! And got to meet him at Socan Award years ago. He is so genuine, and not only talented but a great guy!!!!
I have been a fan of Styx since 1993, but Lawrence Gowan I didn’t know much about until later. Gowans career was popular in the early 1980s with the single ( Criminal Mind) and many others.. he joined Styx as a replacement for Dennis Deyoung
Gowan's voice hasn't changed. Still impeccable and so powerful. His music got me through some pretty tough times growing up. So cool to see him still belting out the songs!
I know right! Just amazing.
The first song of Gowans I ever heard was Moonlight Desires. I was instantly hooked. Little did I know he was appearing at the opening of a new shopping centre allowing me the opportunity to not only meet him but listen to some more of his artistry.

This man has a talent unlike any other. That piano becomes a part of him. It's beautiful even singing a haunting song like this. No wonder Tommy Shaw couldn't believe what he heard when he opened for them.

I saw him last year in my home town with my 16 year old son!! I’ve been to 35 concerts in my life and his show was my all time second favourite!!! High energy, amazing band etc! His piano ability is totally overlooked!!

He is playing with Styx now and is really a fantastic s addition.
He's been playing with Styx for 24 years and has put out a few albums with them. The last two, The Mission 2017 and Crash of the Crown 2021, are on par with their best albums.

He has such a beautiful voice. He's a perfect replacement for Dennis DeYoung, much as I and lots of other's wish Dennis was still with the band. This Lawrence guy is also quite weird, which always impresses me.
His age is setting in an but still so good.

Gowan still has a very similar voice.
I rather listen to this than swift who is no where close to gowan.
