You've included some memorials in this easter egg series. Do you know about the easter egg quest in Thunderbluff outside of Bloodhoof Village? Nearby the Village is a bridge with an NPC quest giver, Ahab Wheathoof, that gives a quest "Kyle's gone missing" asking you to help find his dog Kyle, who can be seen running all around Bloodhoof Village. In the quest you have to acquire some Tender Strider Meat that falls off of any of the striders around the area. You need to throw the meat down to feed Kyle to complete the quest. This quest was designed by a young boy Ezra "Phoenix"(EPhoenix) Chatterton, who was dying of brain cancer. His greatest joy was playing WoW with his father on his character Phoenix. Make a Wish asked Ezra what he wanted most. His answer was to visit Blizzard. Blizzard brought in Ezra where he not only got to see everything the headquarters had to offer. They had him design this quest from scratch and he did the Ahab Wheathoof voice over used in the game. He also designed a flaming cross bow that is a vendor item that can be obtained from a goblin vendor in Netherstorm. (Originally EPhoenix was the only player to have this unique weapon.) Ezra died in 2008 but will be remembered.
I wasn't gonna offer them up but my two criticisms of your (otherwise very well done) videos were gonna be using the same music too frequently, and not enough humor interjected into the video. This is clearly no longer the case with this newest video, keep doing what youre doing man!
Nice one! :) The PLEH and HELP mountains in Vanilla is an oldschool nice little thing. Maybe the hollow stone in Orgrimmar. Old Ironforge in Vanilla is well known but at the time very cool and interesting :)
hey MSS, just so you know, the skull with the apple core is a reference to the Swiss Folk Story "Wilhelm Tell", where the best crossbowman must show his skill with the crossbow by shooting an apple thats placed on the top of his son's head. In every adaptation of the folk tale, he shoots the apple perfectly. Tell is considered a Swiss Folk hero, so in a way, this is also pretty culturally insensitive (but Swiss people are I guess not mad about that sort of stuff since they are not as sensitive about their culture being handled in such a way - they got too much money) en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shooting_an_apple_off_one%27s_child%27s_head
Dalaran - Koraud & Aerith (final fantaxy reference) southern feralas there's a beach there with npc's (if you click on them) complain about the high prices. In Grizzly Hills, you'll find a deer, Bambina, traveling with his mother, a rabbit named Thudder and a skunk named Flora. (follow them to a scripted event) If you explore the mountains between Nagrand and Zangarmarsh near the Laughing Skull ruins, you're likely to find an odd little orphanage named Challe's Home for Little Tykes. (go behind the house, you'll see human skulls... food?) Far off the southeastern coast of Tanaris, past the fatigue line, lies a sunken gnome village. (atlantis? maybe)
In Grizzly Hills, at one of the quest hubs for the Alliance, there is a hunter standing right at the entrance of the camp who will, on a relatively short timer, shoot an NPC called Mother of Bambina. With Mother of Bambina are Thunder, Flora, and Bambina. Bambina, when Mother dies, will turn into Vengeful Bambina, and one-shot the human hunter, before casually walking off.
How about a video discussing the most interesting strats used by guilds to defeat (then)current raid content? Go over how a raid boss was typically defeated, or how Blizzard meant for a fight to be completed, then how a certain guild used outside-the-box tactics to beat it? That’d be a fun video
Great video! There is an orc in Dragon Soul raid on airship, called Ka'anu Reevs along with Mr. Swayze standing next to him, a reference to movie Point Break
Sweeney Todd isn't copyrighted man, it's originally based upon a Victorian novel from the 1840s and is even slang for a type of police officer in England (the 'Flying Squad' and their successors are often called the Sweeney in Cockney rhyme.)
The critter wars may be a reference to the book series Redwall by Brian Jaques. The entire theme of his series is animals portrayed as humans. Mice, rabbits, badgers, and others are portrayed as good where stoats, weasels, rats, and other foul vermin are portrayed as the antagonists.
As a wow veteran its rare to learn of Easter eggs i didn't already know so its nice for a well made video like this to show me a few I've never seen. keep up the amazing work
Dude, I love your channel. The music, your chill voice, and your awesome content. After we lost Hayven Games 6 months ago I've been looking for a chill way to watch WoW videos like I did with his. Thanks for doing what you do they way you do!
you know i fell asleep one night on youtube and remember some random ass soundtrack playing. I played this again on my recommended and been hooked ever since thanks brotha for the good content
I remember years ago, during vanilla, or the beginning of TBC, I'm not sure, I found a smiley face floating in the lava at the centre of Ironforge, just a 2-D motionless thing, can't find any reference to it though....nice video btw
My favourite easter egg. I don't know if you've already mentioned this, but the Death Knights ghoul has a randomized name, and one of the random names it can have is Corpsegrinder, which is the alias of the singer of the band Cannibal Corpse. He's known to play WoW, has an old viral video of him talking about WoW, and even has a horde tattoo on his forearm.
my favorite easter egg is the Griff one. In reference to Red vs Blue they named an NPC after a character called Griff in the game. He sits in the Twilight Highlands and has red and blue dragons flying nearby.
In Outland, head to Auchindoun and take the north tunnel that leads to the Mana Tombs. There's an Ethereal NPC there who's affiliated with the Consortium. His name is Slim and his subtext reads He's a reference to Eminem, or more precisely the character used in his song, Slim Shady :)
In Cataclysm's Twilight Highlands there are two Rooster Teeth and Red vs Blue references. The town called bloodgulch is after the bloodgulch chronicles which was the original name of the Machinima, also the NPC Griff is named after a character of the series voiced by Geoff "Lazer" Ramsey. "You ever wonder why we're here?"
Holy shit I love your subtle out of nowhere sense of humor, I was just bored watching and at 3:52 I just made this fuckin weird laugh sound my family was like wtf was that oh gosh
The critter wars was better before the model updates. It looks like this video was made about mid way through that. I use to go there every once in a while and the different critters would have different hats and weapons and grow large, but it varied at different times. Then after a while it would stop, so like if you called a friend to come check it out from far away, they'd think you were crazy, lol. After all the models got changed, they didn't add any special models for these guys, so they lost their gear. On a positive note, if you like critters with weapons, sometimes a shaman hex results in that. I use raptor hex with my troll and sometimes there will be a baby raptor running around with a tiny spear or something (whatever the npc was carrying, but way smaller).
A video going over out of the norm bans to players would be interesting. IE the first player banned for reaching GM island; that player who was accidentally sent a shirt by a GM that one hit killed anything around him that he used for world first kills in Ulduar, etc etc
I understand most people wouldn't care but Sweeney Todd was not originally a film. The character is actually from A String of Pearls (written in the 1800's sometime), later the character had a broadway musical written about him that became extremely popular. This musical was then adopted into the film.
Great musical when done well, too. The Tim Burton adaptation was far too grimdark in my opinion. It's supposed to be a dark comedy, not an edgy horror play lol
I guess everyone knows about the Jhordi Lhapforge character in Gadgetzan, a reference to Star Trek TNG's Geordi Laforge. But there is also a chef at the Pig and Whistle tavern in the Old Quarter of Stormwind that has the name Stephen Ryback. This is a reference to the movie Under Siege, in which Steven Seagal plays a cook on a warship that has the same surname. Right next to him is an assistant called Erika Tate, which is a reference to the character Jordan Tate from the same movie, played by Erika Eleniak.
Great video as always man, dont know if it qualifies as a ester egg but the Burning crusades Nagrand orphanage is a kinda wierd/creepy classic. Not gonnna spoil if people want to check it out themself but look behind the hut.
Love your videos! If you pick pocket Nagas in Outland (Not sure if it's all Nagas) you can get a grey item called "Sharkbait" with the text saying "Just keep swimming". A reference to the movie "Little Nemo". :)
The critter area in Mulgor got changed in legion (reason unknown to me) but pre legion you would see rabbits running around with knives or axes and some of the prairie dog also ran around with guns as well as axes and knives. The area has been there since cata at least since thats when I stumbled upon it.
Circle of wills in Dalaran sewers reminds me of circle of willis. Circle of Willis is the anatomy of blood that supplies the brain. It’s always connected, like sewers.
Two Easter Eggs I always thought were interesting were the Clarice Foster character in Thunder Bluff, which is a reference to the Clarice Starling character in "Silence of the Lambs" that was played by Jodie Foster. She had a great quest as well. Second, were the items Linken's Sword of Mastery and Linken's Boomerang which you got after completing a quest chain in Un'goro Crater and is a Legend of Zelda reference. I believe both items were removed from the game at some point, but I still have mine in the bank :-).
3:52 haha, was not expecting that.
I had a good nose-exhalation
Haha, aye was like "did I hear that..." had to go back and started laughing :D
lol yeah that was gold xD
That made me genuinely LOL

that was nice they did that, this was when blizzard actually cared about their fans, now in 2019 they don't give a shit
Thank you for telling this little gem Dave, I've done that quest many times. Pity i didn't know at the time what it represented.
Cheers mate 👍
I remember that little guy
Just a followup to my Easter Egg video. The first one was fun, so I thought I'd make another! Enjoy
if you go on top of iron forge mountain there is a skeleton a flag and some climbing gear think thats a reference to mount everest
I wasn't gonna offer them up but my two criticisms of your (otherwise very well done) videos were gonna be using the same music too frequently, and not enough humor interjected into the video. This is clearly no longer the case with this newest video, keep doing what youre doing man!

I'll enjoy the video!
Thanks for watching, Chem!
MadSeasonShow Thank you for uploading!
Dude, I love your channel. The music, your chill voice, and your awesome content. After we lost Hayven Games 6 months ago I've been looking for a chill way to watch WoW videos like I did with his. Thanks for doing what you do they way you do!
That TMNT bit was one of the funniest things I've ever seen.
for some reason i just love the opening guitar to all your videos lol
OMG, the critter wars cracks me up!!!!!
I would watch middle age mutant platypus vikings with laser eyes
The critter war is obviously a reference to Redwall books! Am I the only one who knew that!?!!?
I guessed that before he finished talking. Surprised no one else put that together.
I saw death korps of krieg... But it seems too much warhammer for me :D
2:03 "Every night at 7am" lmao otherwise nice work
Whoops..
Pretty good Full Metal Jacket reference Nice vid as well
The Robin Williams one brought a tear to my eye
you know i fell asleep one night on youtube and remember some random ass soundtrack playing. I played this again on my recommended and been hooked ever since thanks brotha for the good content
that arnold lol was awesome!
Great job as usual and great FMJ reference!
I remember years ago, during vanilla, or the beginning of TBC, I'm not sure, I found a smiley face floating in the lava at the centre of Ironforge, just a 2-D motionless thing, can't find any reference to it though....nice video btw
10:59 awesome Full Metal Jacket reference, you sir have earned my sub

I love the Robin Williams one so so so much. 💜 RIP.
Nice video man . Thank you for entertaining us.

Love easter egg videos! Thanks again Madseason. There are so many easter eggs, also the photo of the NPC Linken in the Un' Goro Crater.
Six Demon Bag from Big Trouble in Little China was a favorite of mine.
Your videos always put a smile on my face
His voice and background music is always so awesome.
Madseason you're one of the best, if not the best content creator for wow. A really nice video
So much details! Appreciate your channel as always, thank you

If you keep clicking on illidan in the vindicar until he gets annoyed, he blurts out his catchphrase in several annoyed voices, it's so cool!
Love your videos MadSeason!! I get on youtube everyday just to see if you posted a video
Holy shit I love your subtle out of nowhere sense of humor, I was just bored watching and at 3:52 I just made this fuckin weird laugh sound my family was like wtf was that oh gosh
Middle-Aged Mutant Platypus Vikings (With Laser Eyes) is actually my favorite TV show.
This is just such an amazing channel you deserve so much more popularity
Idk if it still exists, but back in my day you could buy "Mudder's Milk" during Brewfest; a Firefly reference.
Awesome video! I've played this game for some time and never knew about quite a few of these Easter eggs. I'm going to check out frog island now. :P
Liked for the 3:52 part. Easter Egg in of itself!
3:51 made my day
I had forgotten about the creepy kids. I checked them out once and it freaked me out a bit
Excellent video
Wonderfull VOD!
did not expect the Robin Williams one
Mole critters for the new race!!
That lowkey Full Metal Jacket reference just dropped about the mice xD

Last one is a refference to conker's bad fur day live and reloaded
Love your content MadSeason! Thanks for every upload :)
Sweeney Todd is an old musical. That's what the movie was based on.
Came here to tell that too, en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sweeney_Todd:_The_Demon_Barber_of_Fleet_Street
jasqorp It's a great musical too. I usually hate musicals but that's one of maybe 3 exceptions to that imo.
Sweeney Todd is actually an old folk legend from Victorian London - spawned from a Penny Dreadful serial in 1846 :)
Great musical when done well, too. The Tim Burton adaptation was far too grimdark in my opinion. It's supposed to be a dark comedy, not an edgy horror play lol
Sweeney Todd was long before the musical... If you are going to correct somebody at the very least you should be educated on it.
I guess everyone knows about the Jhordi Lhapforge character in Gadgetzan, a reference to Star Trek TNG's Geordi Laforge. Thanks for watching =)
3:51 omfg lol xD That caught me so off-guard. Had he laughing for a while.
Love your videos! If you pick pocket Nagas in Outland (Not sure if it's all Nagas) you can get a grey item called "Sharkbait" with the text saying "Just keep swimming". A reference to the movie "Little Nemo". :)
Sorry, that's "Finding Nemo". 😅
You should do another one this is great stuff. Thanks for the two videos.

That last one is a reference to the Redwall series.
EULAIIILIAAAA! BLOOD AND VINEGAR! TIS DEATH ON THE WIND!
i love that you use donkey kong country music in your vids
Circle of wills in Dalaran sewers reminds me of circle of willis. Circle of Willis is the anatomy of blood that supplies the brain. It’s always connected, like sewers.
