Got mine too, preordered it a couple months ago from GameStop. I’d say it’s worth it for the art book, it’s got 200 pages (considering how poorly artists are paid in Japan I’d say it is worth the price)
Poggers that you snagged a copy. This is actually the first special edition of an FE game that I decided to pass on since they started doing them in NA with Fates. It was more because of a lack of space and the general pain it is to try and get ahold of any Nintendo special edition (especially during the pandemic where they've produced even less), rather than not wanting it. It's unfortunate because everything looks really nice, especially the artbook which I'm always a big fan of.
Wow it looks better than it was advertised. I like how succinctly you summarised the package. You didn't spend minutes excessively describing every aspect yet kept what was essential. You also kept the video short and to the point with the editing; the pauses to allow your camera to focus on something nearby where thankfully edited out. Looking forward to your ironman, I don't know anyone who's doing that the first run so that will be interesting!
At least the Divine Edition isn't a regrettable purchase? Can't wait for the both of us to make fun of this Game and analyzing every pixel of it when the Ironman starts. I didn't get Engage at launch (gonna see a few Streams of others first while I recover from my wisdom teeth surgery I just got before I buy it), however I do plan on doing something similar for my first Playthrough, although it will be a challenge far more difficult than an Ironman, which I like to call: Can you beat Fire Emblem Engage WITHOUT Using Emblem Rings? The rules for this are I ban Emblem Rings entirely (no Marth, Celica, Sigurd, Leif, Roy, Lyn, Eirika, Ike, Micaiah, Lucina, Corrin, Byleth or any DLC Emblem Rings, but the ones on the Gacha are perfectly ok to use since they don't have any Emblem Ring effects), and if any of my Units is forced to equip an Emblem Ring on a Map, including Alear, they cannot participate in a round of combat or else it will result in a Game Reset. The only exceptions are if an Emblem Ring is identified as "???", or an enemy has an Emblem Ring equipped (both of which are scenarios I have seen and proven to exist prior to release) Divine Pulse/Mila's Turnwheel/Whatever It's Called In Engage is banned entirely as well. The Run is a success if I see the credits, but fails if an Emblem Ring is 100% required to complete a Main Story Chapter, excluding Paralouges. Just in case Normal Mode has forced tutorials, this Run will be played on Hard on my first Playthrough, with a chance to increase the difficulty to Maddening. Just describing my self-imposed challenge here so I don't have to bombard Chat with Engage opinions all the time. It's mostly my method of having fun with Engage, and based off of what I saw on the Game up until this point, I feel the Emblem Ring abilities, even while not Engaged, are too overpowered and almost trivialize the Game's difficulty. I just mostly wanna know if using the Emblem Rings is really required to defeat the Fell Dragon and if another method truly exists. In the end, it all comes down to opinions. If you or someone in Chat likes Engage and I don't, that's perfectly fine! Even if I am self-imposing myself, I still need to PLAY the Game in order to finalize my opinion. While I might argue Alear or other characters could have an opinion prior to launch, there are still some parts of the Game that require me to play it myself first. It might not be at launch, but it will be... eventually. Might be delayed due to me playing Persona 4 Golden and Persona 3 Portable as well, but I will EVENTUALLY play Engage myself. If I didn't, my opinions now or in the future would hold no ground. The Legend Shea is TRULY out rn.
Im sorry Speedy that I have never been able to come to Xenoblade or Radiant Dawn or any of your other streams. I love Engage so far, hope you really enjoy streaming, i will be watching your streams back if miss them like I usually do, but I will do my best to drop by if I ever can :)
What has changed? Amazon used to ship new games so that you would have them on release day. I’m seeing all these videos of FE being released yesterday all while noticing mine won’t be delivered til early next week. WTF.
I pray you keep all the royals, Clanne and Framme alive. Sure, some of them don't break the game in two even with Emblems, but they seem to be central characters in the grand scheme of things.
I'm just going through deciding whether or not to get this game because the hype looks legit and the game looks solid but I'm also holding off to check out the possible DLC for Pokemon Violet before I get this game
