Bought this watch yesterday. It’s a stunner. Looks black in low light and the green is amazing in better light. Perfect fit for my 6.7” wrist. Incredible value.

The land tortoise watches are awesome. I have the tanish and green one, the blue one, and the black one with the bracelet. I just ordered one of the special edition ones. These are the best "turtle" models. The perfect size, thin, awesome colors, perfect case shape, cool dials, cool hands. It is like all the great things of other turtle models combined into an optimized one.
Seiko nailed the color of the green on this one. Even my wife, who doesn't notice any of my watches, immediately noticed this new watch I just bought yesterday and said the color was very beautiful. The dial plus the slimness and case profile makes this watch a winner.
You pretty much summed up why this watch is so awesome! Thanks for sharing your experience. Always good when the missus says good things about your watch. It’s like an approval for future additions.
Great video, I’m considering buying this watch and noticed the un-aligned markers until I realized that it is marked in 22.5 degree increments. The longer markers are: Northeast, southeast, southwest and northwest. The shorter markers are: North-Northeast East-Northeast East-Southeast South-Southeast South-Southwest West-Southwest West-Northwest and North-Northwest This watch is basically an Alpinist, but instead of having an inner rotating compass bezel…this one has an outer rotating compass bezel. I see a lot of reddits and RUclips comments about modding the bezel for a divers one which tells me they missed the point about this watch. It’s a turtle Alpinist…
Great review! I believe this green is the same as on my new SPB103J Sumo, lovely looking green indeed. However I have ordered my Land Tortoise in the rose gold and brown colour 🙃
Ah… congrats! Wear them all in good health. If I remember correctly, they are both very similar shade of green, but the Sumo might just be a bit glossier.

Looks excellent on a tropic or waffle, and my black version also looks perfect on the classic black / red / olive Bond NATO. Also, the lume seems to be even better than my other Seiko divers - helped in symmetry by that date positioning. Haven't been a big fan of the cushion case Seikos, but this one is just tiny, round and cute. Love it.
I just picked on up from eBay, it's used and a tad beat up but was only $160 - I'll be doing a review on it when I get it, I think you'll hear a few things about this watch you're not aware of. Thanks for this, good job
The only reason this particular Sako is not iso-certified is it because it does not have a loon pip on the bezel and the bezel is not marked with minutes

Yes but I like 22 mm straps but it is what it is 🙂 I was to buy king turtle srpe03 but it was justcto heavy this is why I picked that one .still king turtle looks better but just way to big and heavy.. I paid $480 for SRPH15K1 is good price in Sweden because here it always cost much more then in USA at least 40% more
@@AndyinSG oh! I see. After buying this watch I realise the fit & finish is way better than my king turtle… it almost makes the turtle look cheap & unrefined side by side in comparison. almost feels like it’s a Willard. What made me pull the trigger lol
@@psyteo3130 so you got it? Congrats man! I definitely like this one more than the Turtle because it wears so much better. Straps, I guess a nice Artem would fit very well. This one doesn’t use fat bars so can have quick-release straps.

Felt wrong cheapening this particular watch! looks the best & classiest with it & it contrasts well with my other watches. 2 of my friends who aren’t into watches asked me how much it costed(they saw how it shined & the finishing quality & assumed it was a Rolex lol!) and was floored when I told them I only spent about S$400+
Its not very good. Looked at it twice now and can't understand the hype around it. Its typical poor quality seiko. Well I suppose its ok for the money but it wouldn't make it onto my wrist.
Have you seen it in person? It has better finishing than the king turtle which is priced a little higher. Sharper & more precise fit & finish all around.

Oh yes, you’re right about the bezel. Well, it’s not a diver hence I wonder why people would bother modding it into a dive bezel.

Case 42.2 mm . But looks like 40 mm . I have one...only thing i don't like with that watch is 20 mm bracelet it would be great if was 22mm or 21

I would prefer a strap over bracelet for this model. Having said that, I think the Tortoise will look good in any strap/bracelet combo.

Fair enough. The quality is typically at this level at this price point for Seiko.
Have you seen it in person? It has better finishing than the king turtle which is priced a little higher. Sharper & more precise fit & finish all around.
