I made poha exactly the way you explained and it came out super tasty. Thanks for the tip of adding milk in the end, it definitely made the poha very soft.

I think the pan/pot which looks like a golden mean between a concave Indian griddle(Tava) and Kadhai(Deep fry pan) that she had used to make the recipe in this video is what is called as Appachetty in Tamil which is used to make a dish called Appalam, not to be confused with Appe Patra, a word in Kannada which is called as Paniyaram in Tamil.
