That's because when Vernon was dying she had him sign papers saying she could keep the PRESLEY name. It was in the divorce from Elvis that she was NOT to use the PRESLEY name. Because he left her nothing!!!! He didn't even want to marry her

She begged to move into Graceland at 17 where she stayed waiting to get the Presley name. She knew what she was getting, She knew of all of his affairs. Elvis, according to many who knew him personally may have had an Oedipus Rex issue, ( ie with his mother's death etc ). As for his professional life which was extremely demanding when you consider the amount he achieved; within his private circle esp in Graceland he may have been in charge like an army sergeant - Priscilla Presley nee Beaulieu, has been extremely successful in using the 'Presley' name for her own ends. Appearing in many highly paid movies, having a lifestyle of the rich and famous, with many affairs and being successful in business, awards and charity work. Married, pregnant and then divorced from Elvis was she in some way a reason for him to work as hard as he did after 1973 to pay for the separation. This question is rarely asked. Would she have ever become famous, successful in her own right? She has the executive producer rights to the film 'Priscilla'. This seems to be somewhat hypocritical, as her entire success has originated out of the simple fact, she was married to Elvis Presley.
Her looks and natural beauty could’ve made her stand out and after decades of playing the victim, she has definitely demonstrated she’s an Oscar wordy actress. But considering how few vintage stars have survived the pass of time, I don’t think she would’ve gotten too far on her own.
And she kept the Presley name for her selfish self she would have and should be a nobody

I don't think I will see the new movie Priscilla for one reason. The one reason is that I already know about Priscilla's failed relationship with Elvis. There is nothing new, she can say about their association, as it has all been said before. Elvis and Priscilla's relationship was no fairy tale romance. If anything, their association was very complicated, and something that was never easy for either of them. I think they should've never married, as their love started to fall apart, right after the honeymoon was over from their wedding. Sometimes, two people just aren't right for each other, and these two were never right from the onset. Elvis was never Priscilla's true love, and vice versa, the reason I say this is clear. It's because instead of their love staying for each other, it seemed to leave, the second Priscilla picked up and left Elvis to be with another man. Both of these people also, committed adultery on each other, and their union was plagued by many problems after they married. Elvis and Priscilla didn't have an unconditional love. If anything, their love was conditional, and beset with numerous issues after they tied the knot. I think Elvis didn't want to be married, and was pressured into marrying her, something which eventually drove a wedge between them. Sure, they did love each other, at one point in their relationship. Nonetheless, the love began to die, after just a few years of marriage. Neither one tried to save the failing marriage, and to me, if you love someone. You stick by them. You don't up and abandon them for someone new. Priscilla also, wanted not just a new man, she wanted a whole new life with Elvis not in it. To me, Priscilla didn't love Elvis enough, or didn't love Elvis anymore. Because, if she did love him, and I mean truly love him. She wouldn't have left him in 1972. She's the reason, the couple divorced, and that is because she wanted her freedom to be with another man and to begin a whole new life that was her own.
To me, the fact that Priscilla is and has been a Scientologist since before Elvis died is enough to not care about her or anything she has to say. The woman is so fake that her own *_face_* literally tells us just how fake she is, but that she won't leave that damn cult is all I want or need to know about her.

you cant really blame priscilla. elvis was the one who wanted her in graceland and he got her. he took her for granted because she was too young and he was much older he only cheated once while they were married after lisa was born. elvis had lust relationships with all his co stars he was ever with!! he wanted to boss her around and he took over the relationship whatever elvis wanted he got it!! priscilla got tired his wandering around with other women and decided it wasnt going to work out for her. so she cheats on him with mike stone and everyone makes a big deal about it but when elvis did it i guess it was ok??? so you cant really fault her for anything... yes she was young and naive when she met elvis when she was 14 and he was 24 he groomed her the way he wanted... they could have made the marriage work but when you live with a rock star or celebrity most likely the marriage will not work ... if elvis had been with someone else it would have been the same!!

However, just because Elvis cheated on her, doesn't give her the right to cheat on him. Two wrongs don't make a right or make it right. They were both wrong okay. Elvis may've cheated numerous times, before and after they were married, but Priscilla still did it too. She committed adultery along with Elvis. I don't hold either of them innocent, as they were both, equally guilty. They should've never gotten married to each other. They just couldn't cut it as a couple. They couldn't even cut it, as being in love with each other, as they both did lots of things to hurt the other. I do fault Priscilla for lots of things, the same as, I do Elvis. They both should've stayed single and just lived together. Getting married is where they both went wrong and stood wrong. Unconditional love is something neither of them had. They didn't love each other enough to stay together. However, Priscilla was the one who left Elvis and the marriage, so if she so professed that Elvis was her one true love. She was lying. Elvis was never her true love, soul mate, or anything else important. Priscilla loved Elvis's money, fame, and name more than anything. She loved those things more than she loved Elvis, trust me, because her numerous actions speak volumes in themselves. Don't make Priscilla out to be a saint, because she isn't, and never will be. Elvis wasn't the marrying kind and Priscilla knew that. She took her chances all the same, but oh my, she found out that Elvis was flawed. He wasn't perfect. But the truth is this. Neither was she. She had her own flaws as well, and she loved being in the spotlight, getting the attention for being Elvis's ex-wife and teeny bopper lover. Priscilla was no prize.

@@Jesuslovesmethisiknow712 Sofía Coppola first informed Priscilla about the idea to make a movie based on Elvis & Me and she accepted shortly before Lisa died. Priscilla knew Lisa wasn’t well and she didn’t move a finger to help her ‘cause the only thing standing between her and that movie was Lisa. The movie was shot in 30 days with a budget of less than 20 million dollars. It was all brilliantly calculated.
Priscilla always says Elvis was the love of her life when her actions show she doesn’t love Elvis at all.
The movie focuses on Priscilla being 14 when they met but it leaves out how Elvis told her she was much too young for him and when he left Germany back to Graceland Elvis avoided all her calls and letters and continued to date long time girlfriend Anita it wasn’t until Priscilla was 17 that she moved in with Elvis and 21 when they got married Elvis was a southern gentleman It saddens me that the new generation of young people will see the movie and judge Elvis because Hollywood wants to make more money off exploiting Elvis into a villain. There are several things that one can research. I would start off with YT Part 5, Priscilla Presley And All Her Lovers Before Elvis. After that watch Part 1-4. If she hadn't have done everything she did, Elvis would have never married her. She has been acting before she met him. She was not approached to meet Elvis, she knew that a man last name Curry new Elvis and she asked him if he would take her to meet him. Curry said he would testify in court what all happened.
