I love using blenders on the Amazon Paper even with prismas, but have found in Selena Fenech greyscale books it con sometimes move the Grey from greyscale.
I have tried a lot of budget pencils and I stopped looking after trying the Brutfuner Squares last year. They are just so good for the price. Loved your comparisons on the Amazon paper ❤
They are my favourite set aside from Prisma. I also have the set of 50 Macarons and I love them so much. I have ordered the set of 80 Brutfuner which are considered their bright set with some neons mixed in and I have ordered a set of 12 Metallics that I believe are Black Barrel. There are no duplicate colours. All the other sets are round barrel. I have seen some reviews and heard that the big black barrel set is not the same as the squares. Saw a great Brutfuner comparison of all the sets and the conclusion was that the 120 round set is the exact same pencil and numbers as the square set yet less expensive and of course different barrel.
It would be awsome if you did a video with suggestion of different pencils for every popular kind ok paper. What pencils works better I. Hanna karlzon? And so no...
Goodmorning Pamela, thank you for your usefull information. You are definitly number 1 in my top 3! I like the fact that you go in depht with how you experience something. And what to use and what not to (like in combination with each other). This paper issue...😵💫...There is not a bigger 'happy colouring' moodbreaker than finding out that the brand of pencils you picked out of your cupboard...is not liking your chosen colouring book!😄 Do you have a page where you keep a list with all the combinations of pencilbrands and colouringbooks you tested (and prefered) , as you have tested them out? It would be SO good to have that, as a manual to go to. Keep up the fantastic work you do and the nice laughter you have. Greetings from Ann, (Antwerp, Belgium).😊 🌸☀️
Thank you so much. I don’t have a list like that but can start on one. I’m not sure how many would actually be interested though. I do have a couple videos like this I think. The Arrtx and Brut square were tested in individual videos.
I really like Brutfuner squares and Macarons on Amazon paper. I have tried Prisma and Black Widow and I always come back to the Brutfuners on any Amazon paper. Using those, takes the guess work out of it. I do find that Prisma, BW, Brutfuner all work beautifully on Creative Haven paper and they are wonderful, affordable books with so many themes and dedicated artists unlike Ava Browne, Jade Summer for example that do not list a specific artist. Teresa Goodridge and Marjorie Sarnat are two of my favourites and they have many books published by Dover. Have you ever tried those books? Lulu Mayo books also except all sets of pencils very nicely.
Love your videos!!!!! This was very educational. Especially when I found the Black Widows to be more difficult on the Amazon paper and was like, Hmmmmm....
This is really changing my thoughts on Amazon paper, this is such good teaching, I have a lot of pencils and iv spoilt myself some by printing lots of things on Springhill paper, but this is looking brilliant, well done. The Brut square are amazing for the price I bought a second set soon after the first.
Do you or anyone find that blue colour pencils regardless of which set, tend to blend together very well? For some reason, blue pencils are highly cooperative and always produce a beautiful end product.
@@PamelasPassionforPencils yes please!!! I had never seen them but randomly found 3 at our Walmart and bought them all last week. I haven’t been brave enough to try the paper out yet lol.
I am addicted to your videos. I told my husband pencils were coming today and ordered the 180 set you said was similar to the Brutfuner set which i have also. Question, my uncle has a little memory loss going. I think coloring would be a good thing for him. What coloring book would you recommend that’s easy and not complicated. He’s into soccer and golf. Guess they don’t have a coloring book for that.
This was a great video!! 🥰 I thought the wrap needed the pop of yellow as you were coloring, lol!! 😉 You don't normally stick to one color family, plus the daisies would look cute in yellow or with yellow centers. Are the Kalour you tested the same as the Kalour 300 set? Are the Brutfunner squared the same as the 180 Brutfunners? Those are the ones I have. The squared just aren't available... I know you love them, but if they aren't the same, did I goof in getting them?🤔
Have you tried the new version of Star Joy Gold colored pencils? I understand it's a totally different formulation than the original pencils. I'm curious to know if they're any good.
I love my Brutfuner Square Pencils I was never really impressed by Arteza videos I have seen. After watching your video I decided to try out the Arteza Premium 48 in the tube as they were on sale. I absolutely love them. I ordered the 120 Expert set it should be here in a few days. I have had my eye on the Black Widow Sets. Would you recommend them? Thanks so much Pamela for your videos and helping us all make informed decisions.
@@ZarekDaniel20 I think the Arteza feel more like a prisma, with a very slightly harder lead. The Brutfuner are oil pencils, but are probably the softest oil pencils I have ever used. Both are really good pencils. If price is an issue go for the Brutfuner as they are much less expensive. Honestly, I love them both.
I am so glad you loved the Arteza pencils. It's really about matching your pencils to the best paper/coloring book. There are so many sets that I would had enjoyed much more as a beginner if I knew this way back when. I love the Black Widows. They are one of my favorites! They work wonderfully in Johanna Basford's books.
I have actually not used my Crayolas in the Amazon printed books. I have always used them in the Maria Trolle books. They work beautifully in her books.
I have used Crayola in everything and haven’t had a problem yet…naively I pay no attention to type of paper and have only struggled with very cheap pencils and glossy…ignorance was bliss…🤣🤣🥰

Thanks so much for doing this. Its fun when I can color with the same pencils. 😁 Love your videos

I agree! And orange and red are sometimes the more difficult to work with. I find that to be true with a lot of my colored pencil sets.
Which of those would you use on the colouring heaven books
I can certainly test different pencils in those books. I actually have one coming in the mail in the next couple days.
Yes yes yes! I just started working in one of the CH books and would love to know!!

They haven’t gone below around $123 US in quite a while. I was able to grab them about a year ago when the price dropped to around $60-$70 US.
Watching on replay. Thank you 💜

Hi 💞
Hello 😊
I'm a little late.
It’s okay! Always can watch on the replay. ❤️
Please could you say the names of the pencils more often instead of ‘these’ I’m getting confused
I did say the names of each set of pencils before I brought them out and used them.
