- I've always wondered what went through Angel's mind, from when he saw Willow hunched over on the couch to the moment he said, "It's Buffy."
This is my first Buffy/Angel video I've made. I think, I'm happy with it. Please let me know what you think, in the comments (days to make, seconds to comment). Comment or no comment, I really hope you enjoy it. Buffy and Angel forever!
Sending out a special "Thank you" to BTVS HD for some of the clips used in this video. The quality in the earlier seasons is a little...well, leaves a bit to be desired, at times. BTVS HD posts clips from Buffy that are in the new HD and the lighting and clarity of clips is so much better! If you haven't checked out her/his channel, you should do so.

I always loved that Willow went to tell Angel in person that Buffy was gone.
Yeah. I loved it too. With Angel's history with Buffy, that was a definite in-person message. If it had been anyone else, Buffy would have called. It was so sad. Angel walking into the lobby and seeing Willow and, then, realizing why she was there--the only reason she could be there: Buffy was dead.

I kind of wished Spike would’ve. It wouldn’t made more scene as he was the one that failed to save her. He lost the battle for the first time in his life. He could’ve went for forgiveness from Angel and ask him for help to cope
@@TheHalloweenKing That's an interesting view. Not a fan of it, but definitely unique. I think Spike going would have been a poor choice, as that is making it about Spike. The scene is not about Spike. It's about delivering terrible news to Angel and, if anyone from BtVS is going to tell Angel that Buffy is dead, it would be Willow. Plus, hearing that Spike failed Buffy, I think there would be a pretty good chance that Angel would try and kill Spike, on the spot and some epic fight ensuing. Thank you for your comment!

I'm currently working on a second version of this, because I have much better quality videos to use in the flash back, because some of them were...left a lot to be desired. It'll be very similar, maybe a bit longer, but same layout. No idea when I'll finish it--super busy.

When I originally saw this scene, Angel episodes typically aired before Buffy episode, so I saw this Angel finale before the season 5 buffy finale. I thought this scene was perfect because it didn’t give away what happened but at the same time left me considering the possibilities.
When the shows originally aired, Buffy came on first (at 8) and then Angel.
God, this tears me up to this day. Theirs is truly one of the greatest love stories in tv history. If they do the sequel, they have got to give them the true happy ending they deserve.
Agreed. The Buffy/Angel love story is one of the (if not, simply 'the') greatest love stories of all television history. It's like Joss Wheedon said, "It [Buffy and Angel] is the grandest love story I will ever tell." or something like that.

I always be team bangel I hope they make sequel I about buffy and faith and spike and angel and conner new great actors but sarah and david and eliza and I will be the real thing for me but I would still like it

It always bothered me that it cuts off there because I wanna know what the conversation was like after and Angel's initial reaction before going away. My guess? Similar to when he saw Buffy in the basement after he got back from hell.
I honestly think it's a good ending to the season. The words "It's Buffy" and Angel's realization, just breaks you. But I think there should have flashbacks.
I never saw Angel's reaction like the one from "Beauty and the Beasts." I always saw it more of shock and almost crippling pain. Maybe, a few tears as he talked to Willow, but I think, for the most part, his stoicism would have shown through, since he wasn't already an emotional/mental wreck like he was in 3.04. I can see Angel finally just completely breaking down, once he was alone, maybe that night or/again driving to Sunnydale for Buffy's funeral--assuming he was by himself. There were probably multiple break downs. But who knows? I wish we could ask David Boreanez what he thinks Angel's reaction would have been.
@@bangel4ever559 everyone keeps saying he wouldn't have cried, but the kind of relationship he and Buffy had, OF COURSE he's going to cry. Probably not as hard as Spike was, but you can't love someone like that and not shed a few tears initially hearing they died. Wesley said that when he got back he looked much better than when he left.
With "Beauty and the Beasts" I didn't see it as shock. I saw it as he realized where he was and that Buffy was actually there and he'd missed her and it hurt him that he hurt her, so there was nothing to do but get down on his knees and wrap his arms around her and cry.
But, what I was saying was that it was similar, I meant that after Willow told him what happened, it would just be him quietly crying saying, "Buffy..." over and over again. Maybe he wouldn't be on his knees, but I still think it would've been something like that.

OH MY GOD, oh my GOD, stop, I'm legit cryinggg... oh wow 😭 Thank you so much, this was so beautiful. The music, (and this piece always gets me sobbing) the scenes, oh God my heart 😭. To be honest, I'm pissed about how Angel "dealt" with Buffy's death, it's like his character development didn't mean anything. He legit fell in love with her, she is his soulmate, they shared so much and yet...nothing. I was expecting tears and remeniscing, ugh I was really annoyed. But this is gorgeous, thank you, SUBSCRIBED ❤️

Thank you. When I was creating the video, in my head, I knew Angel's flashback couldn't be silent--or at least I didn't want it to be. I thought "Close Your Eyes" was a good fit. I'm making a second version of this and another simple Bangel video. It will be a while before I finish them, though.

I dont know what yall are talking about.... you can clearly tell he doesnt care. LIke it's so awkward cuz he has a whole new life and grew away from her. His team is like uh this is awkward. Angel was always a creep. He fell for a 15 year old and took her v-card, just to dump her literally when shes of age to be with him like because shes gonna age and he wont... thats literally gross... then he falls for Cordy who he also met when she was in high school but didnt give her the time of day until they worked together in LA.....

What season/episode?
The scenes in the Hyperion hotel are from Ats 2.22. The flashback is an amalgamation of clips from Ats season 1 and BtVS seasons 1-5.

I'm guessing you're not a Bangel fan. To each their own. I think, that the realization that Buffy is gone, just took everything that Angel had, in that moment, and left him feeling like he had nothing, so he had nothing to show, beyond the words "It's Buffy." I mean, it was Buffy who really drove him to turn his ensouled life around (from fishing for rats in allies to being a productive semi-member of society) and become a hero.

I'm guessing you haven't watched past the end of Buffy season 2?
From what I can tell after rewatching Buffy multiple times The First who was the big bad in season 7 was around since season 3 sent Angel back and took the form of soulless Angel's victims. Probably doesn't make sense but if you rewatch Buffy and like really pay attention (unlike me the first couple of times I rewatched it I was more like I was listening to it while playing a board game or reading a book) it'd make a lot more sense.

@@bangel4ever559 Don’t worry about it. I could not understand what they were trying to say either. With their low effort writing, that person should not be complaining about anything that anyone else created.
Angel was creepy in Buffy, he lurked around in the shadows and dark alleyways and the only time he was around Buffy was when he was telling her danger was coming. I think it's good they gave Angel his own show where he isn't creepy or lurking around.
