its SO tiring to have a grand strategy, and oh so satisfying to just hate a party. I've been wanting to tag out for years, but these three have helped me hang on just a bit longer.

Justin we had the exact same reaction in the exact same moment when Jen said she was working on an episode about right to repair.

You can always tell when Heaton starts talking about zoning and local control cause of the absolute glazing of Jen and Justin's eyes. As soon as Heaton started talking about scaling and local control you could immediately tell Jen wanted to be anywhere but there lol.

Something I'm not seeing anyone acknowledge - though it seems fairly obvious - is that Harris has her hands tied when it comes to policy. They're forgetting the day job. She can't fail to endorse Biden's policies as VP. However, if she endorses them openly, that becomes her platform and I'm pretty sure in some areas - the economy, Gaza, to name but two - she doesn't want to mirror him as President.
Ideally, Biden should remain front-of-house as President, but allow Harris a free hand in policy behind the scenes, but I can't see him doing that. He has a few more months to build his legacy and I can't see him taking a subordinate role. (He's given up enough already). So my fear is that the absence of policy will count increasingly against Harris from now until November. It's a conundrum.
Perhaps the best approach would be for her to state that she is going to place more emphasis on her role as presidential candidate, leave the presidency to Biden, and then come out with policies even if they conflict with Biden's. When differences are pointed out, she can state the obvious - that two people will always differ on some things - and laugh it off. It won't be comfortable, but it may be preferable to going into November with a shaky platform for want of planks and that being the topic of conversation. It may even do her a favour if she is seen to be her own person striking out and departing from Biden in significant areas as the incumbent.
As for the Cheneys, I heard 'coalition' mentioned, but it's nothing of the kind. Surely this is a pure nevertrump vote? We don't want the Dems, but still less do we want THAT. Trump isn't going to be the candidate after this if he loses. That gives the GOP a couple of years to at least start to sort stuff out in a way the Cheneys would like, but if Trump gets in, they're likely to lose their party altogether. When you're stuck between a rock and a hard place you don't need to like either in choosing which way to turn. You're just stuck and you choose the least worst option.

9:08 I'm all for repeating the Biden lines because as you said, no one but the sickos remembers most of the debate.

Meh, voting Trump because it angers the intelligentsia. Can only hope that his cabinet will be better with voices like RFK, Gabbard, and Ramaswamy in his ear, but whatever. Definitely not convinced Kamala is better than Trump by the debate.

Iran realized there were real consequences. That's important when dealing with the middle east.

I agree. That's because I'm an interventionalist. But Jen is not, so her perspective is only natural.

Jen's skin tone is very Trump-ian in this video.
