- Madill 044 working above Sproat Lake, Two Rivers Arm. Deflection is bad and it decreases production, I understood this cutblock was intended to be highleaded, but company just sold off all tower yarders a couple of months before this was logged.
That's a really great footage the operator makes it look really easy it takes a lot of skill to do what he's doing
Good old Mac Blo i actually miss working there.....😢
Pretty high breakage. Made kindling outta some nice timber.
Great video share
Extremely skilled engineer! He's fast and efficient and knows his machine very well. Wondering if he has a guy in the brush guiding him by radio or if he has line of sight.
Hook tender is in vid. And a guy recording is the chaser most likely .
Looks like Franklin or Northwest bay divisions near Nanaimo
That operator is pretty good!
Thanks for clearing that up.
Big Yarder, very cool !
Haulback block is tied to a fresh stump. It was an excavator available for back spar but no road. I'll post video of one of the tailholds later.
His name i Bill, it's no doubt he is skilled!
whats last name ..pretty sure i chase for same bill now
Are they not using guylines?
jjeremyryy. A real grapple yarder
Fuck that no guy ropes just stupid
@@horus2153 no not really the 044 was the one swing machine that can log without guys,, knew a operator in alaska run grapples all the time without a guy until he would get into hard pulls then throw one out, ive had back track of a 44 2 feet off the ground in a hard pull ,, just got to ease out of it slowly!!
@@matthewmcmillion9016 wicked must be quite a heavy machine yeah the o44 i drive a 124 always run atleast 2 guy ropes radiata pine here in New Zealand is heavy wood though we pull full stems dont buck our wood
