Hello and thank you, I am 25 years old and I have a recurrent urethral stricture. I had two urethrotomies and one urethroplasty (the big surgery) but they didn't work. Optilume is not a suitable option because the stricture is near the bladder sphincter. I have a lot of other health issues, has anybody ever heard of a disease or a syndrome that can cause urethral strictures or make them reoccur ?
Thank you for putting my mind at ease. After 40 years of fear shame and trauma I will be getting Buccal Mucosa on lay urethroplasty surgery. Your descriptions of the problems are parallel to mine, your testament gives me confidence and hope for a successful outcome.
Absolutely....they didnt treat your problem initially properly....a small stricture they made it a mess and made it big...anyways am happy for you....i recently got the surgery done and my doctor is very sensible and fortunate to meet him!!
Stop thinking about Ed or sexual problem when talking about urethral stricture. Think about u need to pee properly without any difficulty or pain. And u need to pee a few times every day. Sex with stricture is no fun. Fix the main issue.
I’m sorry you went such hell. I had BPH in my late 60’s I had the Holep procedure with a Medium lobe. Probably in getting the Medium lobe out they might have cut the Bladder neck or the stricture was already there. Not sure! It is a 2cc stricture but I still can’t empty my bladder! So back in to fix the bladder neck Constriction. I hear it is a 10 minute job to fix , I will probably have to deal with a catheter for a couple of days then it will come out. From what I seen on RUclips I might have to self catherise once a night for a week the slow stop that. I will know for sure after I talk with the doctor. I hope you continue to improve! Thanks for your RUclips mine will be nothing compared to yours.
I had SBRT over a year ago but continue to have hematuria with clots. I have had retention in the past and it hurts like heck. I see the specialist next week. During the cysto the doctor saw a large stricture in the bulbar area. I am so scared of getting retention.
Thanks for the video. I’m getting a urethroplasty this week. Hoping for same results. Didn’t have all the dialations you had but had a couple and they came back real quick.
@@usmankhattak5714 I’m doing good. I’m pretty sure it’s coming back but definitely not like it was before. I may have to do a dilation sometime down the road. But as of now it’s good.
I have to dilate EVERY SINGLE DAY. I want to have urethroplasty, but unfortunately I had a urethrotomy a couple of weeks ago, and my urologist said I need to wait at least 90 days after a urethrotomy. The only way to do that is to have a suprapubic catheter put in and wait the 90 days. The problem is, I can’t afford to miss five months of work (three months, then possibly as much as two months for recovery.) I’m kinda screwed for right now, but I’m sure urethroplasty will be in my future, as soon as I can have it done.
I FEEL YOU WERE MISS LEAD....IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM YOU BETTER GET IT DONE IMMEDIATELY....ITS A MYTH...THERE IS NO RULE TO WAIT FOR 90 DAYS....IT WILL CREATE FURTHER COMPLICATIONS...!!
I GOT THE LASER TREATMENT DONE ON DEC 3RD AND I GOT THE PROBLEM AFTER 45 DAYS AND I IMMEDIATELY GONE THRU ANASTOMOTIC UROPLASTY SURGERY ON JAN 28TH...GET IT DONE AND TAKE CARE
@@chandubodapati700 sometimes people living with stricture without knowing it. Not simply ignoring it. Like me for 18 years. Got it from catheter during hospital stay for perforated appendicitis.

Did you have any complications after the surgery? Any ED issues, or penis sensitivity? I read those issues can occur in the small number of patients.

How long it took after the surgery to be everything normal? I too am suffering for last 30 years.
