i think a strategy could be to have all your ants in the nursery group so they don't go out, wait for your ants to hatch then move them back to the 1st group.

You should do the hungry spider and this time don't go for bite just jo for middle 2 ability upgrade them as much as you can and if you want then you can do few upgrade for bite to take our ants in one bite but if you want to finish the hungry spider then you need to stay far form enemy and let the poison do it's job
Not in Tug Of War. The main advantage of upgrades are that they make your ants stronger for the same hatching cost. Since there is no hatching cost in Tug Of War, upgrades are pointless unless you run out of space.
if you can beat tug of war in just over two minutes you have to be so lucky that the enemy colony spawns literally nothing or just 1 single ant. And that has never happend to me at all and i played tug of war a lot of times. So either you are lying about that or you just got increddible luck
Igni they started by making two black ants and I started with two army ant media which is generally stronger than the black ant soldiers, that and some incredible luck.

And i won with just those 2 medias cause the 2 enemy black ants did not respawn cause they were never killed and was in my base. Then the enemy colony decided to save up for a trapjaw ant making me have enough time to kill the enemy queen and winning in about 2 minutes. Holy shit you are right.

For me, an interesting concept would be scorpions, some water creatures and possibly more kinds of spiders into the games but ant wise, Fire ants, Yellow Crazy ants Black Crazy ants, Asian Marauder ants, Pharaoh ants Ghost ants and Weaver ants, but the African driver ant would make a ‘stock up resource for Journey whilst being attacked seems a quite exciting challenge to me

You're not wrong, but they don't do anything special. The ones available to build are the soldiers, not the nest raiders. Unfortunately, these are almost identical to Black Ants, with the only difference being that they're slightly stronger at the cost of more food to build. They do get a huge increase to stats when upgraded (even more so than other ants) but upgrades are less valuable in this game mode since there is no cost to hatch, only to build, making that advantage pointless.

What i found as a good strategy was simply to spam army ant workers early and majors late. Why this strategy is so good is cause the main weakness of army ants is that they suck vs late game mortar ants (tier 3 wood ants) Because they have splash and it just makes army ants melt. But because mortars are not in this tug of war game army ants are super good. Not to mention the best ant that pairs insanely well with army ants is in tug of war and that is the taunt leafcutter major. Why its so good is cause the main weakness of army ants is their low hp making the majors die fast and not getting time to boost the melee damage of all the other ants. But if the taunt majors makes all the enemies focus on them and not the army ants the army ant majors can get huge value and melt through anything on the field. Also the army ant workers are so good early because they basicly counter any unit composition untill you can get the army ant majors and the taunt leafcutter majors.
My enemy queen ant Spammed Tf outta me lol With just regular Range and Protector ants. No other ants, no Leafcutters, no nothing but the 2 Ruffa and Protector ants. Seeing my leafcutter majors being shot down from 100 to 0 in 4 seconds was absurd lol. I won but oml I never thought spam would be a pain lol.
Slug disco can you make it so you can be the creature and make more tiger beetles like green black and rainbow tiger beetle and make the rainbow ones be very powerful and drop a thousand food
Uber creatures in Free Play are exactly what you want: super powerful and drop 3000 food on all difficulty. They plan to change it though, as leafcutter ants don't gain anything from killing Ubers.
Try using the Battle Arena. It lets you spawn both ants and enemies to fight, and you can even have both enemies and ants on the same team! It's pretty fun, especially if you have a computer that can handle large numbers of enemies.

You should use trapjaws at the very star, they can tear through melees
Trapjaws are also fast, can heal themselves and are pretty cheap

It works. It only is visible on Army Ants that are fighting, but it will still have an effect, at least according to the devs.

Igni I did this on my first try cuz I figured that army ants are stronger than black ants and after about three fights the enemy queen was culled.
