    With a proportional decrease, the thermodynamics change, the relative heat loss will be greater, and the efficiency of the stove less.
    The upper grill with a proportional decrease becomes small for use. But these are Russian nit-picking.
    Great work, master. Separately, I want to note a good video of electric welding.

    Bout time you put out another project. Great one, it’s so cute! The laying of the beads at 13:29 was amazing in slow-mo. I get a much better picture of how TIG is done with just that one shot. Will one day have to get one, looks much cleaner and easier than Flux core.

    • @berniesteadman7642
      @berniesteadman7642 4 года назад

      Agree 100%. I've done a little MIG welding, and never fully understood how TIG worked. That shot explained 90% what I did not know.

    13:25 shots looks awesome. A video idea I wouldn’t mind seeing is when to use certain size cups for tig. I’m certified in 3G because I just wanted to be, but I don’t weld with tig in my job. So I’m not the most informed on when to use certain sizes. Just as idea. And another awesome vid man.

    • @JustVoss
      @JustVoss  4 года назад +2

      Yeah not a bad idea, I have some generals I go with so would have to do some more research to make an entire video out of it.

  • @michaelfeathergill7556
    @michaelfeathergill7556 4 года назад +3

    when making your tacks. you can set the amps to 150, 175. rest the cup on the part with your tungsten pointed at the joint about 1/32 ,1/16 away. then you tap the pedal all the way down then all the way off. do it kinda fast like half a second. you can just cover the arc with your glove no shield, if your the daring type. the joint has to be tight , no gaps. if you do have gap you can rest some rod at the fusion point. its so much faster and easier.

    Just started watching your channel and I love what you do. Thank you. I love old ford trucks. I'm restoring a 77 f150 4x4 and have 2 more waiting. I also love camping hunting and the out doors. I've built a ton of different types and styles of rocket and wood gas stoves starting about 15 years ago. I've never built the type your building out of square tube but now I'll have build one. I have an idea for a portable wood gas stove that I'm pretty sure will change every thing. But it's still in development and I'm not ready to put it out there yet. Have a wonderful day.

    Greetings
    I stayed for several reasons
    You asked viewers to watch the whole video
    No background soundtrack (until the end). It was helpful and informative to be able to hear the arc working.
    I appreciate TIG welding, especially when it is so excellent!
    I appreciate fine workmanship
    I appreciate you making the video about the project and not about how cutesy you can talk or joke or whatever - like an actual adult who wants to share work and projects in a straightforward manner
    I appreciated you working in a safe, clean, organized shop and you working safely
    Thank you for sharing about your reasoning for doing the project and why you did certain things
    I'm 72. I have watched like a hundred welding videos put out by Tips and Tricks' Jody. He is also an awesome welder. I so want to learn how to TIG weld. If there were improvements, maybe some clear arc-shots and talk a little about extending the tip for the deep angle weld. Info on the welder etc. would be nice too. Voice-over while welding, telling a bit about what and why might be nice. I liked how you talked about the rod and choices you made.
    Thanks for bringing this high quality video. I hope you get as much pleasure from building as I did watching and learning.
    Blessings to you and all those you love
