I would put the 4 tabs on the chimney then you can still use a pot on it without the grill.
    Great editing.

by putting the tabs on the bottom, you only have to put them on once, otherwise, you need to put them on each top you create.

Awesome build! It’s great to see done young people interested in these trades. Our generation is retiring and we need you to continue and keep this trade alive.

Not to mention she’s not welding coupons. Watching the exhaust repair was baad, as in really good but the tabs and legs job was fun to see, even if shrunk a hundred minutes.

I was hoping to see a test burn! I'm curious about the offset on the feed tube. I was going to build ALMOST exactly the same as what you did, but was going to go 50/50 on the feed tube mitre. Two suggestions.
1 make a door, or cap for the feed tube. Then the air will suck through the bottom.
2 I love how you did the removable top, but if you also have another piece you could add into the chimney and make it taller, I THINK you would create better ROCKET suction.
Anxious to see it in action!!! 👍👍

Thanks for your suggestions. You can see the finished product on my website! I tested it a few times and was pleased with the amount of "rocket" suction. It could always be made taller, or with different attachments on top, absolutely. I wanted a compact one for easy storage and transport, which is why I went with this size.

That was some nice welding, like the design and the way it came together as you were making it. Good work and nice to see young girls getting into trades, fair play to you 🙂

Of all of the things I enjoyed in these projects, I really liked your idea for a fence extension on the bandsaw! I could've used that a couple of times myself. A rocket stove is on my bucket list! Thanks for the video!

Your channel is awesome! keep up the good work! im learning here, i taught myself to "weld" during stuff that was going on a few years ago. i learned off youtube, i put weld in quotations because its more like bird dropping on a board for me lol but seriously im learning i have a miller multimatic 200, spectrum 625 plasma, and a syncrowave 210. so blessed to be able to have nice stuff just gotta get that hood time in when im not busy with work, i have took on small mig jobs, i enjoy doing stainless tig the most but dont have nice purge equipment. that was what i learned first was the tig process and got some nice consumable from welding tips and tricks. They had a small mix up with my order so they gave me a new tig finger xl and a jazzy 10 ceramic along with my order for the mix-up and delay. i did not even ask for anything it just showed up with the extra goodies and a note saying "check this cup out for stainless." i think that was the nicest thing any company ever did for me and the mixup was not even a huge deal lol. you can get some good stickout with that jazzy10 i had 3/4" stickout and still got exceptional shielding. cant recommend welding tips and tricks enough for all the welding consumable needs. Cheers and good day from Michigan. had to edit to say great job again on the vid, editing, the music selection was awesome got me crunk to hit the garage. Good luck with K2Fab !!! lets goooo

    Amazing Rocket Stove Build.
Literally the best I have seen on RUclips!
I went to your site to order one and no stock left 🙁
Is it possible to commission a Rocket stove build with a hinge style door over the wood feed opening?
    Keep up the great work!

Looks good. I have suggestions though...
    1. How about grooves on the crosspieces instead of tabs and the extra tube?
    2. How about angling the crosspieces up as well as out so it can handle multiple size pots/pans (I have a tiny 4-inch frypan just to fry eggs. heh) stably.
Just ideas. Feel free to ignore. Nice build. LIKE it. It looks ... sturdy. heh
And where on Earth were all the girls who are into stuff like this when I was your age? :-( Would have been fun to be able to talk shop instead of just listening.

I liked the video. Great production in your camera work and video editing.. it really shows off your design and metalworking skill. Sadly, you left the most important part out; taking your rocket stove outdoors and putting it to use cooking something on the grate attachment.

question on the compound miter you put in there. Does that make the fire farther forward. Seems like that would cause most of the heat go out where the wood is put in. At least with no cover on there... Just my thinking as I haven't built one yet. I really want to build one. But I am not even close to the welder you are... Just learning... But that is the fun of making stuff isn't it. I'll eventually try my hand at it.

    • @ADVJason
      @ADVJason Год назад

@@k2-offroad yeah let me know how it goes. I'm sure it will work....In fact thinking about it it may give you the ability to pull the fire back away from the vertical controlling the temp for the cooktop. I'd be interested to know .. Thanks for the reply btw My grandfather was a pipe welder ... Unfortunately I didn't get to much time with him when I was old enough to learn much. Now I want to learn as much as I can... But I run business to so I have limited time... Have a great day.

Look up chiasson smoke he builds a super nice rocket stove, I can see your vision is similar to his and impressive, please don't paint stove,it always fails, sell it bare metal and reccomend heating it up and wiping down with boiled linseed oil to season it beautifully, don't forget to add a front damper, rear ashtray and a door for the wood shoot would be all the whistles and bells.

Your music is too load and your voice is too soft, oh i see someone else said the aame thing, ill leave it here to remind tou to fix it lol. Great job, but look around on youtube there are better designs, with removable ash draw and a lid on the part where you put the timber in, also a baffle on the suction side to contril the burn. Good luck with your endeavour

Yes, you can take your shop with you, it is called a portable welding rig, typically a one ton or a ton and a half truck rigged out to completely weld and fab in the field, thus they are know as rig welders, and I have known welders to pull a self contained fab trailer behind their truck, (So as you dream,So shall you attain) have a blessed day, I really enjoy your videos Thank you, and welcome to the brotherhood
