The 2nd machine gun burst, the bullet that bounced off his jacket and the sound of the lights going off are better in the new audio track. The gun sounds in the moments I specifically pointed out just scream "Looney Tunes" but the rest of the sound is great. Dunno why they cut out the sounds of the police personnel groaning in pain after getting shot.
This was probably the one major flaw of the Terminator character. It’s supposed to be a low key infiltration unit. All it had to do was wait for Sara to be done and kill her as she leaves. Now, if she spots him immediately and yells “that’s him!”, then I could understand the shootout happening. Still an awesome scene.
The Terminator is possibly the greatest "B-movie" ever made. By that i mean, it is the greatest low-budget sci-fi ever produced. The Terminator is a great inspiration for future filmmakers. Cameron showed us what can be possible on a small budget and its freaking amazing. T2 on the other hand is the greatest action movie ever made. Cameron showed us whats possible once youve established yourself in the industry. And its freaking phenomenal. I just wish we could get a new 5.1 remix for The Terminator. The .45 longslide should sound like a freaking cannon. The audience should be just as shocked and stunned by that weapon as Sarah Connors neighbors after the Terminator blew her head off. Theres an interesting deleted scene revealing the aftermath where Sarah Connors neighbors are running around in complete panic mode. But the newest 5.1 remix makes all of these bad**s weapons sound like squeaky toys, including the shotguns. You cant feel anything from a sound effect like that.

This is naturally par for the course with Arnold action movies, but _at least_ Terminator has a valid explanation for it that isn't just "one-man wrecking ball," lol.
The sergeants desk lights up as the vehicle drives towards it, but the headlights are not on.
I bought the new blu ray and was disappointed so after some research got the R1 Image DVD for the mono sounds and also have a 1080p blu ray rip synced to the original mono sound, hope they release a blu ray with the original mono sounds.
Thank you for the original sound! F***ing A !!!
This's a classic movie that Arnold made

I love that original machine gun sound. It sounds more brutal. Where can I get this MG sound?
ruclips.net/video/2qnZdzPbxBg/видео.html
Those gun sounds are the absolute best.
At 2:03 the noises I used to hear as a kid as "Beans, Pow" and used to say them whenever a bullet missed me as a kid during fake gun battles lol.
3:33 Terminator Brutal Gun Combo sounds restored nicely.
It's music to my ears 😊

Policeman hit by headlights from the car that hasn't turned on the headlights... has always bugged me a little.
How did you get the original sound back??
It's on the 2001 DVD as an alternate audio track.
If Martin Riggs and Roger Murtaugh from Lethal Weapon were there the police could have held out longer.
Despite being too old for this shit ;)
That would be epic . Riggs would probably try get its attention while roger would empty some shots from his 44.
I really don’t think the terminator would give a shit. lol
This version 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
One of the rare instances I prefer the mono track to the 5.1 remaster. For the whole movie.
What about Jaws? The sound changes in that movie were pretty bad. Whenever I watch my Blu-Ray of it, I always set it to mono.
@@AGPfan Yes I agree as well Jaws is another. Whenever I watch Jaws no matter what I expect the mono sound effects.
T1 2 and 3 are all so good could watch them over n over again

Yeah that android from "Aliens" was no match against the Terminator.
So that's why they made "RoboCop vs Terminator" game instead of "Android vs Terminator".😄
Sarah Connor: Help! There's an unstoppable killing machine out to get me.
Psychiatrist: Sarah, It's all in your head.
Then, an unknown male guns down 30 police officers. Survivers claimed he was shoot point blank 50 times but wouldn't die.
Sarah Connor: See, I told you!
Psychiatrist: Sarah, it's all in your head.
The 1st movie was the best, followed closely by the 2nd
One thing that always called my attention is that the Terminator shot a doorknob and then the kicks it to break It. Considering its strenght, It could Go walk thru It. So why shooting First?
3:33 that shotgun sound 😩
@3:12 ''Fire!! Fight it!''
Someone get those mofo's a firefighter!!
It's like a god mode character going through GTA
I wondered from the first time that I watched this movie: who was the guy at 1:26 calling? The cops?
I remember a dude i knew went by the username The Terminator online in 1985. A friend of mine met him in person and he turned out to be this little Jewish kid. My friend was like i expected him to be a big dude in a leather jacket lol.
That's hilarious lol.
I prefer this audio more. They did a piss poor job with the gun shot sounds in the new audio.
Whoever thought altering the gunshot sound FX was a good idea must've been on crack. Awesome shit like this should have been left well enough alone...
@@ihatefacebook31184 Agreed.
Dr. Silver was damm lucky He left that police station on time before Terminator arrived and caused all kinds of carnage!
Reese totally saved that cops life
They used the spaghetti western ricochet sound in this version. The remastered sound is just a thump of the bullets hitting the outer flesh of the Terminator.
Let's be honest, that's how it would sound if it was real: Just a thump
Such a badass scene.
NYC would let him out on 0 bail and give him a subway pass.
Brutal I love it!!!!
I'll be BACK...
