- Our Yorkshire tour begins in the ancient city of York and an absolutely beautiful stay at Naburn Lock Caravan Park, just 4 miles from the city centre.
This Tranquil Park, adult only site with it's 102 pitches is so relaxing and peaceful and is just a couple of minutes walk from the river and lock with it's fast flowing weir.
We are so pleased we came here, we visited York on several occasions and in our next video we will take you with us on the river bus straight in to the city centre.

Naburn Lock was just the start we had hoped for to our Yorkshire tour. Again a very warm welcome, lovely location and well kept grounds. We have visited a number of Tranquil Parks now in Norfolk, Suffolk, Lincs & Yorkshire and have been very pleased with them all. Thanks again, Dave & Helen.

In full agreement with you York is a great place to visit, we stayed at York Marina last year just down the road from Naburn and really enjoyed it. If you want a good walk try the Trans Pennie trail.👍👍👍👍

We find Tranquil Parks are right up our street for a middle aged couple with no kids in tow and four legged furry friend! They are always peaceful and in great locations. Keep the vlogs coming!

York is by far my favourite city in the UK, so much history in one place. Been a couple of years since last there but definitely plan on a return. What a beautiful site that is! Love the canal. Will look forward to the next installment.

Hi Gareth and Sam, thanks for watching the video, lovely stay. We were quoted £300 by a mobile chips away service but sadly they were unable to fix the dents. They said the would cause even more damage by trying to repair and since there was only a few very small dents then best not to bother. They turned up and tried but called the job off. We were staying on a fantastic CL just down the road from here in Stillingfleet for the second time, in February. We passed the Naburn Lock Caravan Park on our way down to the Locks with its eccentric cafe. The park was having a lot of ground work done at the time. Nice to see it open. The food, especially the Sunday roast in the Blacksmith's is superb. Did you use the Park & Ride into York from the Designer Outlet a short drive away? Free parking all day for the car and a twenty minute journey by bus into the centre of York with flexible same day return costing just £7.50 for the two of us. Much cheaper than the £13.50 for three hours on the City's car parks. York is definitely one of our all time favourite cities too.

We had a brilliant holiday in York a few years back and we stayed at York Caravan Park which is also adults only. It’s a bit closer to the city and we were able to walk from site. Hi Helen and Dave, York is also one of our favourite haunts, have usually used Rowntree Park and are booked there again in December, pretty much same site fees, although not fully serviced, so wiill probably give that a look, look forward to the tour on Sunday.
