    Hi guys, Dave and Soph here. As a highly experienced H.G.V. driver herself, Sophie wants to congratulate Stu on his driving skills. She says that as a new driver in that class of vehicle, and to get in and out of that spot were exceptionally great. Also, his own comments about the learning curve and that he owned the issues, shows that he will make a great driver. As for me, I just look forward to the sunshine, the views, the adventures, the general chatter and the next Vlog. Best wishes, D+S xxxxx

    I have an 8m Motorhome and one of my first purchases was a 360 degree camera system. I’m amazed at how good it is. Also how less stressful general driving is now ( rear view mirror capability) and how easier manoeuvring into tight pitches is. I went with Motorhome Retrofits near Pool. Camos also do one. I would seriously recommend you fit cameras to your new vehicle. I justify the initial cost as a saving against a large insurance claim, evidence in any collision and saving a large repair bill for my Motorhome. The installation cost is probably less than the repair cost and it’s a lot less stressful while driving/manoeuvring a large vehicle.

    Good to see you out. We moved to spain in 2006, feb. One of the 1st things we discovered in mar/apr was that spain has april showers just like the uk. Normally over easter you can gaurantee it will rain when all the big easter processions are on. This year it is far worse than normal. But certain areas of spain are desperate for rain. We live in Malaga region and we have many restrictions on so to us this is precious. For holiday makers not so. At the moment we are in our van at La Linea, you know it, its pi--ing down. Bellavista's a nice site, nice fish and chip shop local too. Enjoy your time here but it is set to improve from tomorrow. Take care and enjoy that new van.

    Just noticed you have the TotalCool fridge. Does that model have both a freezer and fridge option ? How does it cope in the really hot weather or have you not tried it yet in over 30 degree temps ? Am looking into getting one at the moment as an extra for my 3 way fridge when abroad in the summer. You were lucky to escape that first campsite with the car. We decided to stick to 8m for our new motorhome, we did love the space in the 9m but as it's just 2 of us it did seem a luxury where we may have issues fitting on sites.

    • @TheRollingRucks
      @TheRollingRucks  10 месяцев назад

      Hi mark yes we have the one that goes to both fridge and freezer options not yet tried it anywhere hot yet it’s been cool in Spain so far! Don’t blame you regarding length x
      Edit from Stu: It’s a compressor fridge so the outside temperature doesn’t effect these like it does a 3 way fridge. They are extremely efficient and effective. We got the Extreme 55 for £289 at one of the Warner shows 👍🏻

    • @markhoughton5294
      @markhoughton5294 10 месяцев назад

      @@TheRollingRucks supposedly the compressor fridges will cool below ambient temperature. But wondering on the performance of these TotalCools in actually hot weather rather than UK temps. As my motorhome fridge works fine here, but as with most 3 ways it struggles when above mid 20's. Hopefully the sun will be out soon for you. My first A-class back in 2005 was a 2002 Euramobil Integra. Loved it, solid quality build and brilliant for Alpine trips with the double floor.

    Hi. From an ex truck driver. I have a 6 wheeler RV and how you got in that first campsite I have no idea & how you got out 10/10 That was a tight place. Yes you have to look , think about the pitch , place you are given. ( and taken in to consideration that very very few people understand the turning ability of your vehicle ) That last pitch you were on is a bit better. You had the ability to turn out from the centre of the pitch, if you are on a tight pitch, try and get your self on the opposite side of the pitch that you are turning out towards , then turn !
    Now that you have driven a left hooker in Europe I think you would have gained a Load of confidence of now driving anywhere

    Great driving Stu. Can I ask what the headunit is in this vehicle? Looks like an android system to me. If Sony out could get co pilot on there or even your phone and use android auto or mirror it. It's one of my interests and always changing head units or adding gadgets. Enjoy your new home on wheels.
