Thanx so much for the ride, love the trees, the river, your expertise and personality; I'm homebound in the desert (desert rat) and riding w/you incognito is a joy, thanx so much for sharing; all Peace and Love to you + your family
Gorgeous untouched landscape, but if I were stranded and hitchhiking, I’m certainly not riding in no vehicle with anyone that hasn’t showered in one month.
Hello Mike ,This hyway 12 is a real nice road to do some fishing from, lots of pull off spots. Thank you for this great run thru the mountains. Drive Sare ,Keep the rubber down PEACE
I traveled that very highway while on vacation going home from Portland to Detroit on August 3 1987. But in the middle of the night. Crashed for a few hours in a Missoula Walmart parking lot LOL. Detoured through glacier national park. Then took US 2 all the way to the Mackinac Bridge and I-75. Thanks for the ride!
Thank you so much for letting me join you. It's the most beautiful drive I have seen on RUclips. The pines lining the road were all postcard quality, as well as the stretches of river. I don't doubt that they would be even more grand with snow. I also love the stretches of just the sound of driving as much as your casual commentary. Please keep sharing.
I stumbled across your video this evening. Ironically, we traveled this road a week after your trip. We camped at Powell Campground, very near where you pulled over to try to fish. This area is one of my favorite memories of our 4 month road trip. This one is being stored so I can watch again. Thanks for sharing!
Beautiful! I watched another video of Montana and I saw the exact vision I had many years ago. I need to go to Montana. Your video is more beautiful. I appreciate you posting this.
I want to compliment you on your videos. I drove for Les Schwab Tires back in the 90's and ran Missoula, Stevensville and Hamilton for better than 5 years. Your video of Spokane to Montana on I-90 brought back great memories. When I first started the run we they hadn't finished I-90 through Wallace and we had to drive down through Wallace. Two or three time a year I'd run back through Lewiston over Lolo Pass, instead of running back to Prineville on I-90. I was amazed at the kayakers on the Lochsa.(CRAZY PEOPLE!!!) It was a beautiful drive down the Lochsa and the Clearwater. In the spring of the year I'd see elk on the hillsides close to the road. I can see why the Nez Perce Tribe liked that area so much. I think they were the ones that had trails that Lewis & Clark followed that the highway follows today. Fact is, if it hadn't been for the Nez Perce, Lewis and Clark wouldn't have made it. ................................Anyway, keep them video's comin'!!!(:>)
I grew up in this area. Actually lived in Craigmont which is up above on the Camas Prairie. But we would drive on this highway often. Brings back memories. This is beautiful Idaho. I'm seen some of your videos lately. Thanks for sharing
I'm from northern Ontario and it is beautiful. I've trucked all over Canada and USA for 45 years. But nothing can compare to the scenery of the west. From Northern California to Alaska is just beautiful excepting the cities. VA. WV. TN, and Ky are nice too. But not like the west.
Having wanderlust running through my veins, I have viewed many travel videos and this video has to be the best scenery riding with you. I also rate the Million Dollar Highway up there but found myself having a tad bit of anxiety going through the tight curves. This is the third time I am watching this one, and know I will be planning a drive through here one day very soon, yep, with my RV😎, but hey, if you’re not a truck driver gotta do with what we have. Thank for taking us along on one of the most beautiful drives I have seen. A P.S., kinda reminds me of Hwy 299 in Cali. But better.
Happy to say, been der, done dat. Twice. Great food at Lochsa lodge. Awesome new log cabin structure is the resturant. Overlooks the Lochsa River. Some incredible white water rafting with snowmelt.
Morning Mountain Mike, you don't know how it pleasures me to ride along with you. I have spent some time on those roads and on 95 down to Winnemucca and West. . Sure wish I could be there with you. So please be safe and keep up the good Videos. Later Pat
Enjoy riding shotgun! We drive from OR to Az every year and have been on many different roads to get back and forth. Took Hwy 12 two years ago when we went to Glacier NP. Lot's of respect for you folks who drive the big rigs.
This route should be called the Master Scenic Route. It has so many shades of green, it is continuous views. So NICE. I haven't watched all of your uploads yet but out of them all, this is 1st.pick. All of your uploads are very nice and I appreciate you sharing your hard work. Am looking forward to viewing all of them. Be safe in your travels.
I recognize that highway; I used to live in Kooskia, pronounced kooh-ski, (which you passed by) in the early 90s. Well, about 12 miles north of Kooskia. I'd make a shopping trip once a month with my family to Lewiston, stopping in Orofino for a drink on the way there and back. Thanks for the drive! It is a beautiful place to be.
One of my favorite drives around here is going down 12 from Lolo, MT. Hope the forest doesn't get struck with lightning like it did in 2017. That was a huge one. My sister loves the ocean, but I'll take the trees and mountains. Been here since 2005 and wouldn't leave it for anything.
Hello driver. This is my first time watching your videos, I am really enjoying this beautiful drive. I am a ex truck driver retired now, but I still like to watch the videos. I can't unloaded in Great Falls Montana and took interstate 15 to Butte Montana and I thought that was beautiful but this is a lot prettier.
Nice trip. Back in 1999 I was coming back from the Sturgis motorcycle rally with my nephew in my pickup with a Harley Sportster in the back. We decided to take 12 from Missoula to Lewiston. It was a pretty trip.
Thanks for letting almost see thos drive from Lewiston where my granddaughter lives Up to Missouli. My daughter talks all the time about how beautiful it is.. Yes I am almost blind but I got roku Which allows me to see it on my big screen . Again thanks.
Beautiful scenery! My wife and I enjoy the rides with you in the shotgun seat. As you were going over Lolo Pass, I thought you might be interested to know that Filipino grandchildren call their grandfathers Lolo. Our 6 grandkids are half Filipino, half Caucasian.
Good Evening Mike. I’m new to your channel so I’m a bit behind. I am terrified of traveling on the open highway but watching your video’s I am enjoying being in the passenger seat. If I had a bucket list it would be to ride with you and know I would be in safe hands, so many questions. Be safe in your travels and keeping you and all truckers in my prayers. Sharon
This is an awesome motorcycle road. Try to ride it at least once every year. 20 years ago I drove semi down this road making 2 trips a week, Tuesday and Thursday, from Missoula to Lewiston
I used to literally ride shotgun in a big rig with my ex. I got to see alot of states and some of Canada. I never got to go to the western states. I am going to have to get in my four wheeler and get to all of those states now that I have seen all of their beauty. I live in Georgia and we have beautiful places but nothing like this. Thank you for taking all of us along for the ride.
Thank you for turning the camera more towards the river awesome your best video I've watched so far that's wonderful you can stop and fish sometimes keep up the good work dude only going to get better God bless
I have convinced myself that Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming are the three States left in this country that I consider fit to live in anymore. Beautiful scenery out that way and still a feeling of freedom in the air.
I used to live in a small town in Hope ID, then to Plains MT. Hope ID is where Lake Pend O'reille is. (spelling). It was beautiful and I miss it so much! Truly God's country! At the lake when I he sun would hit right, you could see gold dust! There were still old mines, Chinese and Irish cemeterys! After you went through Thompson Falls, Mt there was a spot before Plains where the Big horn sheep would come down the mountain and cover the road, not just a few, but alot! I wish you would say the names of towns when you pass signs! Watching this, I sure do want to go back for a visit, I still have friends there! Hwy 200 from Plains, MT would take you to Missoula, what a beautiful view of the Mission Mts.
I was going to Lewiston pick up paper rolls. I have to turn around to go back to Montana to get a permit for a 53 ft trailer, so I can travel in Idaho. It is a beautiful road. The locals told me , if they have a rock slide, you can stuck there for days.
Man this is perfect. Im traveling right now and making my way from texas to Washington. On my way back im going through Idaho and Montana. I have this road planned. Nice to see there are quite a few pullouts where I can stop and fish
We stayed at the Lochsa Lodge on Hyw 12 one night in the cabins during a bike ride from Lewiston ID to Missoula . The restaurant was about to close for the night but stayed open for us. So we are looking forward to staying there again.
Haven't been over Lolo pass in a vehicle in forever it seems !!! Loved the trip !!! Thanks for taking me !!!
