Sam...is that a regular 6pd auto or a dual-clutch? My sisters Tiguan had a similar motor (2.0) but her AWD came with the dual clutch. Good review as always.
I don't understand why the 7 speed s-tronic dual clutch transmission isn't the only one available on the Q3. I mean why have the old 6 speed auto when you can get a 7 speed DCT right? We have the older model with the 7 speed s-tronic and i'd a joy to drive.
Your drives on the washboard gravel road are a true test of build quality and one can compare the different vehicles on your site using the test as a benchmark. Off road tests over rocks and thru streams etc. are meaningless to me as I will never be in position to tackle those type of trails. The area I live in has a mix of road surfaces and I follow your gravel road tests with great interest. In your test of the Ford Edge the gravel surface showed up the rattles and squeaks and poor build quality....a good thing as I was going to buy one of those junkers, but your test turn me totally off. I am in the market and have done a number of test drives of various vehicles. I have picked a route with a washboard road that I take each vehicle over, for a very reveling and meaningful test drive. If the sales person wants to go on their so called preferred route and refuses to comply I tell them what I think of their lack of confidence and move on to the next dealer. They want my money not my friendship. Thank you for your continued efforts.
@@daniellee197 100%. X1 design (inside and out) was one of the biggest drawbacks when I was car-shopping... GLA is even uglier on the outside (interior a little better IMHO).
Yeah it is proving the case for the already excellent Tiguan. But even still I am in the heart of Grand Cherokee money. More power more utility and capability are my check boxes. Still, I am an Audi fan especially the fine S7. A sweet heart of a car in style and dynamics.
Jason Kidd doing audi reviews in his spare time I see
Sam, fantastic review as usual. Great commentary on the driver's seating position!
Is that Jason Kidd in the video?
Very nice review. Thanks.
Wish this Q3 interior would find its way into the A3, but they are still at the old system still for 2017. What a bummer.
Thank you, this was very informative. I'm told the 2017 will be at my dealership in August and I hope they add some safety features and a USB port!!
they added USB but for charging only
The highest speed limits are generally 70 mph, Texas 80mph I have this SUV it can go 147 mph sorry but that is fast enough for anybody

+xTouragx It's a traditional automatic.

+behemothinferno They will wait for the new model and platform before new powertrain upgrades come.
@@TestDrivenTV Makes no sense. european variants of this Q3 came with dual clutch!
