We are talking about maybe 10 percent of cases going to court. Most of the highly paid lawyers are solicitors, advising on major transactions. Most of you probably won’t get to know these lawyers as they serve public company CEOs, billionaires only. That’s where the money is made.
The fact that they graduated from LLB External doesnt mean they are rubbish solicitors. Many great senior solicitors are from LLB External London. Your statement is manifestly WRONG.
yes, at least some of the paralegal's work has already been replaced by AI, or in house dataware house, even Judges will be replaced by AI, let's say, AI gives a primary verdict, then a human judge comment and gives counter arguement to challenge the primary then offers a final verdict. Frankly, think out the box, out reaching and, 20/80 good enough over perfection mentality, could be good candidate in IT.

我同意你的说法！可能当刑事或者婚姻律师会比较能发挥创意，能变通，但是不是每个人的性格都适合这种高压力和负能量的工作。必须学会调解自己的情绪。而且必须接受相对来说较少的薪酬。
有個point 要更正, local firm trainee一般2xk to 30k, 細firm做general practice就1xk, 1xk只係小數unfortunate
我做corporate finance其實接觸嘅嘢同律師好似(應該話係work alongside)，譬如M&A, contracts, loans/ equity issuance, 等等。我好認同，如果你唔係好meticulous好detailed oriented，對住啲black lined contract係會人都癲。當然習慣咗就好啲你可以當遊戲玩“捉錯處”，但係都唔係人人適合，亦都唔glamorous。

因為香港好多行業都有商業文件要處理

梗係啦，香港咁多合同要處理你只要有一兩個大客已經夠養起你有餘。而且真係打官司/訴訟要投資嘅成本同時間都好多，唔係大家諗咁無本生利。
Soli都可以上庭, 只限於審裁處或裁判法院, 而且不可戴假髮, 如果要打case, 好多都係找番bar做,我想可能穩陣的, 但係會貴的, 因為bar唔能夠直接揾客, 只能通過soli

The problem is before 2011 a lot people Graduated from LLB External London and then directly to PCLL HKU , a lot rubbish solicitors
The fact that they graduated from LLB External doesnt mean they are rubbish solicitors. Many great senior solicitors are from LLB External London. Your statement is manifestly WRONG.

就好似醫生咁，有啲叫做general practitioners；有啲叫做specialists。兩種都有架。
理論上律師要遵守cab rank rule，唔可以揀客，不過現實當然可以用唔同理由借啲姨揀客嘅～

我認為使用了的時間是sunk cost，最重要是你享受將來的工作和日子，你喜歡做什麼呢？你的興趣是什麼呢？你擅長的是什麼呢？不妨多了解自己，多嘗試，找出自己真正希望從事的行業！😊
