Plus, a hit-and-run driver tearfully pleads guilty to killing a bicyclist but the victim’s family believes he’s only sorry because he got caught. No, they charge juveniles as adults ALLL the time. The US is the only country other than Somalia that gives full life term sentences to children. You want someone to blame, blame corporate greed. When I was a kid a single mother could hold down an apartment, a baby sitter, and food and cloths and occasional toys for 2 or 3 children all by being a waitress. Now!? People living alone, working full time jobs, are having to choose between electricity or food. These kids aren’t stupid. They understand there’s no future more than most adults do. 30% of the US’s service industry workers are either homeless or living in their cars while employed and working. Nobody who is employed and working in this country should not be able to afford even at least a $hitty apartment. It’s the gig economy.
Remember kids, if you threaten someone's life, you forfeited your right to live.

Coupled with the fact that less then 10% of ppl go to trail and if you go with out a paid lawyer you’re pretty much guaranteed conviction I’d venture to say 25+% of ppl in prison are innocent. Until we get a system that is discriminatory towards poor ppl & anyone that doesn’t look sympathetic to a jury let’s focus on rehabilitation & not punishment. A lot of these ppl are getting out and as of right now they come out worse making prison a criminal finishing school / that traumatizes sum making them more prone to violence.

We have the exact same trend in crime here in Toronto over the past year or so. Several Dozens of take over style Pharmacy robberies targeting the prescription opiates etc and literally hundreds of violent armed car jackings all committed by suspects in their early 20s to as young as 13!!! Its as if these kids are bored of playing GTA at home so now they're hitting the streets and doing the real thing instead.

They made excuses for them, would let go all the arrests, including violent crime, robbings, & claimed they were doing it to feed their families or bills for family & they stopped prosecuting them for a couple years. Omg that poor woman, im sorry for her family 😢 I personally relate to her story, im currently in recovery for poly drug addiction (primarily crack/fentanyl) and its not easy fighting to stay sober. Everybody slips up now and then and the only thing to do about it is to try to get it together and keep up the fight.

Going through the same thing personally. I'm in a MAT program rn, my 4 months clean is coming up. Had 6.5yrs clean, lost my mom & allowed my grief to get the best of me. One relapse turned into 3yrs back on fentanyl/crack, living off & on the street. I've changed my phone number, moved 1.5hrs away, trying to comprehend all the new routines & expectations. Just grateful to be alive & refuse to allow my life to be lived in vain, when so many others didn't make it out alive. I commend you, you're doing great. And thank you for sharing your story so honestly. The hard days are brutal, but we've gotta take it all day by day or hour by hour.

I was in snohomish county’s first ever ‘drug court’. I could say some things about it but I’ll refrain and just say it sucks being in ‘the system’ and I’m glad I’m not anymore.
The program implemented by the judge at the end is pretty amazing, when applicable. Reformatory measures have been largely ignored and warehousing people seems to generally be preferred. Too often the warehousing method is implemented, without offering real means for people to acquire healthy habits, make meaningful changes, & ways to be a part of society. More people like this are needed.

Why is the sound so messed up on this video? If I hold my videos in landscape mode in one direction the sound works fine, but when I flip it to the other side of land scape direction it sounds completely muted. Occasionally I run into videos that do this, I think it’s some thing about using stereo sound or not using stereo sound.

They need to lock these guys up for good, but when you see teens walk through in the streets and into stores wearing masks, that should alert everybody because in reality ain't too many people wearing masks anymore unless they're elderly. To all police officers and pedestrians, be alert, stop letting these guys get away with crimes that it only takes common sense if 5 guys walk in the street and go into a store wearing masks, you know something bad is about to happen.
