    Where do you live that D2 will rust, somewhere on the coast? Is their D2 hard to sharpen with a basic Arkansas stone? It rains a lot here in NY, so it's often humid. I wish it were 440C. I ordered the Ganzo clone of the Rat2 because it's 440C. Twenty bucks, no brainer. I might grab the F753M Ganzo, it's another 440C knife that weighs 2.5oz.

    Sorry if I missed it in the video but where did you buy it for $23? I looked at the Ganzo website and they have it listed as $35.

    Stop right here (2:03). The Elementum is not some ground breaking, must have, knife. Its a cheap knife (to make) with a high margin return that We has shipped out FREE OF CHARGE to hundreds of knife reviewers in return for favorable reviews. It is NOT comfortable in the hand, not even as comfortable as the venerable Tenactious. Its shape is the exact OPPOSITE of the PM2, easily the most notable knife of the last decade or more.
    If I'm not mistaken the FH41 was out before the Elementum so, it would be more proper to wonder if the Elementum is an FH41 killer. Yes, I own both. Matter of fact I have either 2 or 3 FH41's but only one Elementum. Why? Because I wouldn't buy another Elementum but wouldn't condemn it without first hand experiencing it. In hand, the FH is more comfortable and at least as smooth while being half the price. End of story.

      I respect your opinion and always welcome opposing viewpoints, but to thousands of knife collectors and users, the Elementum is a big deal, it's widely considered this generation's Tenacious, is it as good or comfortable? That's up to the individual (I find it holds a better edge, but its clip gives me a hotspot as I said in its review). As for the FH41 coming out first, yes the full size version did, however this smaller version wasn't released until very recently, and it'd be hard to argue that it wasn't done as an answer to the craze the Elementum started, the fact that since the Elementum's release, nearly every company has made a sub 3" blade flipper knife with a loopover clip, is proof of how influential the design is. Knives like the Elementum did exist before it (CRKT Premonition, Kershaw Skyline, etc) to pretty solid success, but they didn't influence other designers like the Elementum did.
      I'm not sure where your hostility is coming from, as in the video, I did denote this knife as being a potentially better value than the Elementum is, and I myself do own both and have used and carried both, this is my review based on my experiences, so I don't know why you're so worked up lol.

      @@CutleryNovice I'm not worked up, it is you that seems to be, just because someone dares have an opinion that differs and can back up their statements. FYI, ALL major manufacturers have knives, in that size range, with fold over (aka deep carry) clips and have for longer than I can remember. By your logic, the Elementum is a knockoff of the Delica since it is by far and away the best sub 3" folder of all time. See? I also explained the "why" the Elementum is a favorite of reviewers (yourself included perhaps?) and that is advertising money just can't buy. Advertising works. That's self evident.
      What is even sillier is your assertion that one knife started a "craze" for a certain size. Face it, 98% of all folders come in with blades b/w 2.75" and 3.75". Allowing a half inch for variability and they are all pretty much the same size! I know you need to come up with content but seriously???

    • @CutleryNovice
      @CutleryNovice  Год назад +3

      @@lenzielenski3276 I literally opened my statement by saying I respected your view and welcomed your opposing opinions, the Delica is a fundamentally different design entirely and I have the $92 Amazon receipt to prove I paid for my Elementum myself lol. I've been a reviewer in this community for 13 years and call things as I see it, you're welcome to disagree, that's absolutely fine.

    • @lenzielenski3276
      @lenzielenski3276 Год назад

      @@CutleryNovice If its so 'absolutely fine' why do you keep replying with such hostility? I poised a question, if you received an Elementum at no charge, nothing more. That still does nothing to negate the fact that distributing free knives to reviewers is a We/Civivi prime advertising tactic simply because it is so very effective. What I would question, is why are you disputing this?
      Second point, your supposition that the Delica is a "different class" is based solely upon YOUR subjective opinion. In any case, have a good life, you're obviously too obsessed with your own point of view to ever have a reasonable discussion.
      I'll close with agreeing, you are a novice. I've been carrying since 1968, how about you?
