Got both of these and love 'em. I've got no issue with ganzo doing generic versions of other designs, but I usually only buy their originals, Though in this case the 727s has the rat 2 beat in every department, better steel in 440c vs aus8, better grip materiel, better pivot, better lock, better blade grind (much thinner blade stock) and about half the price at $16 vs $30.
I was thinking of getting the Rat II but ordered the Ganzo 727s instead. I like the 440C on my other Ganzos, this one has bearings, I like the G-lock. No brainer.
Love them both but I'll probably choose the FB727 over the FH11. I've held in to my first Ganzo purchase, the 727, and have used it mercilessly over the years . I'm ready now to pass it on to some friend and get the smaller version . Wasn't aware of these smaller knives - thanks for exposing them to me.
So my FB727s-CF knife came in from Power Cutlery via Ebay. I paid a little less than $20 for it. What a screaming deal. The fit and finish are nice, it’s a great slicer. Having the pivot bearings with the axis lock is a lot of fun, pull back the lock, the blade just swings shut. It’s easier to flick open than my Ganzo F753m1s. It’s going to get a lot of pocket time.
I have both, the ganzo like r1 an r2, they both are fantastic, also have the OKC Rat 1 an love it. The fidget factor is better on th Ganzo's but the OKC, I still just get the chill carrying!
I got the 727s and I like it. When taking mine apart, I noticed they went crazy with lock tight on the pocket clip, but no problem with the pivot, or body screws. Great little knife.
Im very glad to see that someone else reviews nd enjoys Ganzo.. I got one by chance once and once I had it I was like woah, this is a decent knife.!! I really love my Ganzo's The Firebirds.. theyre light, well made and function awesome!! and I dig how they look..
I own both of these knives and they are both excellent. Great fit/finish, action and centering; very sharp. Nobody makes a better value knife than Ganzo. Period. If you need a superb blade for slicing gourmet salami and other delicacies, these are excellent choices.
Just got a 727s a week or two ago, love it, only problem is the spring in the axis lock clicks when opening or closing the knife - don't notice it if flicking it open but if I do a slow controlled opening you definitely hear it. Maybe some day I'll try disassembling it to see whats going on. Also I can't touch the tip of the blade on mine unless I REALLY jam my finger in there. Though we seem to have very different hands
I have the 727S and like most Ganzos, it's a great knife. The fit/finish are virtually flawless, better than my Bugout. I am not able to touch the tip when it's closed - yours must be due to production variances. Very sharp, great action. What's not to like? Maybe they'll make more colors?
I ordered the FH-11 not realizing it was as big as it is, which is fine but I think I'll order the S model. I also ordered the 727 S model and was surprised that it was the smaller model (yeah, I've gotta start paying more attention) but I'm glad it's the smaller version, I like it a lot! As far as the knife snobs who get all pissy about Ganzo making similar knives, if they want to pay more money, that's their prerogative, if I want to buy a Ganzo, that's none of their business.
I agree with both points of view, but lots of premium American made knives, and buy ganzos too, as they make great beater, gift knives. But it will never replace any of my premium stuff, not even close.
I just got the FH11s and have to say it's Awesome!!!!!..... it's a perfect everyday knife.... I truely can't believe the quality of this knife for the money... so glad I got it... might get the FH41s just for the heck of it... also on mine I have the gray color but the clip is only possible on one side... the handle isn't flat either... there is curve in the handle on both sides and the clip kinda sits in it... I like it a lot.... a lot a lot... lol... :)
Hi there Ltk,personally I'd say that ganzo are the benchmark for value for money,90 to 115ft of cutting power is more than enough for most people . then they could really go crazy and sharpen there knife outrageous i know but people still do it lol . but seriously I reckon there an excellent option love the channel man wicked baby atvb Dave
I sure love the idea Ganzo made the "S" versions. Why? Because 3" is almost the universal limit in almost every town I've lived in during my 70 years. That extra 1/2 inch will get you reservations for a month of weekend warriorship, ask me how I know.
I wish they made an "S" version of the F753(M). The F753M1 in CF that I have is great, but an even smaller version would be awsome. If they also gave it the ball bearing update, that would sweeten the deal even more.
If I'm not mistaken, the F753M1 IS the small version of the F753. A hair over 3 inch blade. Killer looks with the CF scales. They got the thumb stud a little close to the handle on this one, but it's still doable and you can easily flick the blade out with the G-lock. Great knife.
I like the smaller version of the FH11. I'm not sure what to think about that FB727S, though. I'm with you on the thinking that they had moved away from copying designs. I do like their originals. I don't like the "copies". I think they could have made just a few adjustments and the handle and it would look generically similar, yet be their own.
Some bands start off doing covers of songs because it's familiar and wider audience will pay attention. Paralleling that with the knife market, After you've gathered a following with familiar designs and affordable pricing and quality now known, then you can start making original designs.
Hi, have you tested if the steel is really 440C and how hard it is ? Also do you know if the ganzo G720 is in 440c and with what actual HRC ? Thank you :)
Definition of knockoff is, a copy that sells for less. These Ganzos technically are not a knock off, copy or counterfeit. They have close and similar designs to others but are by definition of each word none of the above.
So new knives models an so good review, thanks. both model is perfect for edc, just blade spine could be thinner (2.5mm is better). Chinese shoot in apple :)
Thx for the vids. How often have you found Ganzos version of Axis Lock to be stiff and grindy? I just got one and its unusable, but I will switch it out for another if this is not a problem often.
I have several Ganzos, some are like other brands, but all are great! Tge way I look at it, we were sold down the road in the late 60's due to the government. One of the few choices I have as a slave in America, oops American is to decide where I spend these worthless peices of paper I get. Ganzo makes nice knives, and don't whine to me about China products, if you eat, sleep an live in the U.S. you too are buying something from them!
So very true and do buy commie made blades occasionally, but if there is a choice, I buy American made. Which is why I have quite a few Spydies, BM, ZT, Buck,Kershaws, Tops, esee and Becker/kabars and others
Man, I don’t like the plate. That’s the only thing stopping me from getting it. I love all of the FH knives, now that new thing they came out with that’s 45 bucks? They need to stick with what they are selling. The FH71 yo me is the best thing they have come out with. Ganzo stay in your lane!
If they had put a better steel on the adimanti it would have been ok at $45. But as is I agree. The plate is stopping you from buying a inexpensive budget high value knife? Ok.
I don't give no dams or shits if they copy other knives, especially if they tweak them a little and make them smaller. I like the rat 2 and I want one but I only like carrying knives that fit in the coin pocket of my jeans. I also don't like paying for a name 50-60 dollars for a knife probably made in china anyway? Or at the least all the materials are from china. No thanks.

I 'll have fh11s!Totally awesome knife!
I have a 727S and a fh11s and like them both, a lot. Overall, I'd say Ganzo makes the best value knives on the market.
I just got the FH11s and have to say it's Awesome!!!!!..... it's a perfect everyday knife.... Rat 1 is too large and Rat 2 is too small in my opinion. Fb727s (and G727) fit nicely between those two extreme sizes and so I like both
Imitation is the sincerest form of profit. I get it too.

My lock is stiff on the rat clone, took it appart and pinched the spring and it helped a lil
Evan Stallings Hey man, I have had good luck just trimming the spring and rebending it just a quarter inch.
@@andrewhaley8992 preciate it , I'll give it a try!
What would you recommend, bearings or phosphor bronze washers?
Depends on the knife and the preference of the user. I usually prefer bearings.
On the 727s it has 2 holes for the spring so u can adjust the force of the spring
Thank you for clarifying the differences between clones, counterfeits, and knockoffs. Knife purists seem to always forget the differences.
Definition of knockoff is, a copy that sells for less. These Ganzos technically are not a knock off, copy or counterfeit. They have close and similar designs to others but are by definition of each word none of the above.
My 727S the blade center where washers ride totally broke out. I’m gonna try to use washers to fill hole but pretty frustrating.
I prefer the look of the ganzo 727s over the rat II to be honest.
It has two holes so u can.adjust the tension
"Clones" I have no problem with. Counterfeits are where I have a problem. Look alikes are fair game in my opinion.

They put a lighter spring in this one and mine is super smooth.
any idea what kind of metal they use on 727s bearings?
does the 727s have a 0.08 thick blade that I see advertised? I've also seen 0.088
Mine comes in around there. I say that because I had to use my backup mechanical calipers.
@@WilliamMancel Thank you for checking. I appreciate it!

Just got mine. I wanted the normal sized one, but like, I didn’t notice the “s” and now I’m sad D:
I've had no luck with the rat what a pain in the ass to take apart and put back together I like the Ganzo way better
All y rats have broken down and went back together after cleaning perfectly, odd yours had issues.
@@nitrorc4life1 might of just been my patience level at the time lol .I'm gonna give it another go .
Ganzo fh 11 torx 6 i 8 ?
I can touch the closed tip of my OKC R2D2 and it will not center and still be openable.
Steel balls or ceramic ones in FH11s?
Steel and preferred for a work knife, washers even better for work knife.

Ganzo missed the mark with the Adimante. They better step it up with the next one if they want to charge higher prices.
If they had put a better steel on the adimanti it would have been ok at $45. But as is I agree. The plate is stopping you from buying a inexpensive budget high value knife? Ok.
Love my shitty ganzos 😂🙋♂️
I bought the s by accident. Wondered why it looked bigger on video. Pissed.
The s is better in my opinion. And read more carefully next time friend.
I like the firebird better than the rat because it's smaller. But maybe I'm just not a little bitch 💁♂️
