I had to increase the lockbar tension on mine. It is dialed in now and still has the effortless dropshut action. The slightly larger handle on the FH41 fits my hand better than the FH21. That, and the blade shape makes this the best of the lot for me. One difference I noted is that the FH41 took an edge really fast. I am carring it as my daily carry to see how this new edge holds up.

Hey John! It’s hard to say, I honestly don’t know what to call a copy or a clone these days, lol. Seriously I struggle with it. This certainly takes some design cues from the Shamwari in its overal profile. Slightly different blade shape, different deployment method, but I’d certainly say that it took cues from the Shameari and/or was heavily inspired by it. I guess I wouldn’t call it a copy/clone, but a design inspired by another and changed just enough to be different. But I think if you ask 10 people that question you’ll get 10 different answers, lol. Great overview & comparison. I have the FH41 in Blue/Gray, & I love it. My detent is also a little bit weak, but not so weak that you can shake the blade open. I was torn between getting it, or the FH21, but decided on the 41 because of the blade shape. I will still get the FH21 later on. I'm very happy with my FH41.

FH21 is my favorite. Fits in the hand well, Feels great in pocket with it's sleek handle. I purchased a couple of their Benchmade clones and I actually like them a lot. The fit and finish on these $20 knives is really, really good! Their version of the axis lock is not bad at all. A little stiff but a drop of Ballistol and working the action for a couple of days and it's right as rain. Great video on these "beater" knives that wont break the bank and hold up pretty damn well.
I'm a big fan of drop point blades as the are excellent all around users. Those Ganzo knives are quite good, especially at their price point! I haven't purchased a modern folder in quite a while, though the Ganzo knifes are a big temptation! Thanks for the great review!

I have several Ganzo's and they're all great knives. I have the 21 and 51 and the detent on my 21 is like the 31 you showed, fairly weak. I still love both models, however. For this price range, I love the detent on the Ruike Hussar (P121). And this was another awesome review, brother. I've been eyeing this model for a minute and will definitely pick up the 3rd in that series. Thanks for your awesome and honest reviews!

I agree about the FH31. It doesn't even seem like it was made in the same factory. I like the FH13 better than the FH11. I like the FH21 the best out of all the FH models by quite a bit. I want the new FB7651 but don't understand why they used 440C instead of D2.

The detent on my FH41 is crazy hard. Coupled with the somewhat rough flipper tab it's to the point where it's not much fun to deploy. Also, the cutting edge on my FH21 is *longer* than the FH41 -- impressive for a smaller handle.
Hey, thanks for watching! That’s interesting that you’re detent is that strong in your FH41, I’ve heard a lot of complaints about weak detents but never ones that are too strong. I’m sure there are others who got ones like you did, must be a quality control issue.

Some are great, some are so weak the blade will easily shake open if you don't torque the pivot down. The way I see it this is just something you have to expect at this price point. And hey, there are plenty of knives that are much more expensive that have the same problems.
It’s a great value, and I like it a lot. I complain about the detent because it is very different (weaker) than all of the other Ganzo FH series knives that I own. Just because it’s cheap doesn’t mean it can’t have a good detent.
It’s not just your specific knife (FH41) that has a weak detent. That’s showing up in every one I’ve seen reviewed. It’s therefore very easy to deploy with a hard shake. Unsafe. That was a deal killer for me. I got the 31 and the 51...both Warncliff. They do make a good pair.
Ganzo make D2 with axis lock and ball bearings... knife collecters will buy it and it will be very profitable

Hard to beat that price. I don’t own any Ganzo’s but I’ve seen quite a few videos on them and rarely hear any negative comments

I have one in green, and it' has a good detent. It's actually difficult to fail and that is unusual on a manual flipper.
