Everyone buy this. I need Volume 2 desperately. After Claremont's X-Men, Nicieza's New Warriors run is my go-to in comics. I met Fabian at a con a few years back,everyone wanted to talk to him about Deadpool. He seemed relieved when I asked about New Warriors.

This is so cool. I loved this book when I picked up issue 1 at a Seven-Eleven in 1990! I collected issues 1-23 and I still have the singles.. except issue 11. - - I started collecting these when I was 14 years old!

I was just getting into comics in the 90's. I got X-Factor because of Iceman, Spider-man because of Spider-man, and New Warrior's 8 because of Firestar. I remembered the cartoon Spider-man and his Amazing Friends from when i was 4 or 5. I came for Firestar, but stayed for the Warriors. I loved everyone of them. Vance's story spoke to me most because of living in abusive home. Here's hoping for two more volumes.

I’m SO getting this! It seems like forever ago it was solicited and a month or more ago I thought I missed this Omni and was beside myself upset until I found out it was still coming. I really hope they don’t just stop at just one. I have Huge fondness for The New Warriors. Can’t wait to have it finally in my hands.

That Bagley Art is so amazing!!!! I remember as a teen some spider man comic where the new warriors appeared. Was so totally awesome! A day 1 pickup!!!!!

I picked this up based on your love for the book. That and my own appreciation for Fabian Nicieza. He’s an underrated talent. So I’m sure I’m gonna dig this.

My sister and I used to read this series together as kids, I will be picking this up for sure. I wish they would bring back Night Thrasher, he was one of my favorites as youngin.
He has come back from time to time. Not really Duane, but Night Thrasher.
@@NearMintCondition If it's not Dwayne Taylor, then it's not Night Thrasher afaic, his personality is what made the character cool and interesting. But I honestly didn't know he had been seen at all in decades.

I ordered the bagley variant. I read the thor issues and some of the bagley run of new, but came into them zrohnd the 30's or 40's when I think Derrick Robinson was doing the art.
Yep Darrick took over the book with issue 26.

I'll be picking this up. I loved this series back in the 90s. Hopefully this will lead to a vol 2. Vol 2 is where Darick Robertson evolved into a superstar artist and Nicieza wrote some great stories!
Volume 2.. I so want to map this out and 3... because we have all the ongoing Nova and Night Thrasher and Justice series.

I’m just about to start the nothing but the truth story, and it really shocked me how emotional it got and how invested I wound up in the characters. I’m going to get the fourth tpb just to get to issue 36 lol. Hope they realize a second Omni

I think it all depends if volume 2 matches. I like the plain white on black honestly.

YES YES AND YES! Thank you for showcasing this book Omar! Like you I love this series so much that its one of the few books I actually bought every single format for (single, TP, Omni) because it means that much to me. I would love to hear a review or Old Reader New Reader video as this was great 90s stuff IMO and should not be discounted. I already (of course LOL) own the original Omni, but for those that don't please buy this! It's a great series and also because I need a NW Omni Vol 2!!!

New Warriors was a title I couldn't afford with my allowance as a kid so I'd flip through occasionally whenever I encountered it on the newsstand. If it reproduced the old letter pages, then it would be a definite buy for me. Hope it sells enough to warrant a volume 2, which should include when the New Warriors becomes more of a Spider-title.
If a volume 2 comes it will be the end of the Nicieza era, depending on what they want to include.

It's a phenomenal series.
I read my copy of the first edition in the Summer and had a blast with it, although I'm not wild about the annuals/crossovers. And, while I know it's just an opinion, this book is no where near as good as the Wolfman/Perez Titans. It is fun though.

I think for me it was in that same spirit as NTT and X-men. Lots of crap thrown at characters, but its still shows the character developments we need to make them seem real.

How is the paper in comparison to the original printing? I've been thinking about changing my regular for the new DM, but beyond the dust jacket, I do not see any other reason. I'm ok with the new binding (kinda cool) and the small gutter loss (hardly noticeable) but they are not deal breakers as the quality of the paper. Thanks for your help, brother.

I want to see that Omar detail review of this, and a ORNR somewhere a ways down the line when Omar does a guest spot. For anyone unfamiliar with the material, this is brilliant comics, Nicieza and Bagley finding their feet very quickly and developing inspired work, which had a long term plan as well.

Omar, you keep getting me with these previews! Man, this is another one that I was on the fence about but I think I’m going to order it. I’m struggling with which cover I should got - what’s everyone’s fav?
I went with the white one, looks really good. Recently started reading this and I’m really enjoying it so far, well written and there’s something about it that just keeps me wanting to pick it up and keep reading it. Artwork is very well done, and definitely worth reading.
If Night Thrasher is ever in the MCU, I'd cast John Boyega! And Harry Styles for Speedball. It's a wild card because of his One Direction background, but he's been picking up a lot of interesting projects - most recent is the upcoming movie directed by Olivia Wilde with Chris Pine and Florence Pugh.

GAH they really changed the spine! To try and print a custom dust jacket or buy the damn book again... Only because my fingers are crossed for a second volume. One of the best Marvel series of the 90s.

Direct Market refers to books sold exclusively by comic book retailers through Diamond Distributors (instocktrades, talesofwonder, cheapgraphicnovels, LCBS, etc.). Regular book market refers to other book retailers like Amazon, Barnes & Nobles, Walmart, Indigo (in Canada), etc. The direct market exclusive covers are incentives for people to buy directly from first party distributors rather than 3rd party sellers.
@@jpsarri In addition to that DM tends to mail their books with care. I'd avoid Amazon until it's the last resort. They tend to have the highest pricing compared to DM. Their packaging for books is horrible. But Amazon is typically your last chance to grab a book before it goes out of print. For example John Bryne's FF volume 1 is sold out in DM, but still up on Amazon.

It’s all within the omni. As some make their first appearance in this omnibus.
