    *Use code LBY for 10% OFF any item on eXtremerate's website*
    extremerate.com/lillobby
    N.B. THIS TUTORIAL WORKS FOR BDM-040 TOO!
    Bdm-040 controllers just came out but nothing changed. *The kit and the installation process for bdm-030 & bdm-040 are exactly the same!* So yeah you can use this video to install the eXtremerate kit on both 030-040 models.
    Question of the day: Is the eXtremerate’s Kit better than a Scuf controller? Comment your honest opinion ⬇️

      In my opinion: Yes.
      Playstatiom Oem controllers are just more reliable than any aftermarket controller out there. I’ve tried them all and they eventually all let me down by breaking! Plus when an aftermarket pro controller breaks and you need a replacement its over 200 bucks everytime. I personally think eXtremerate’s kit is the best option currently available on the market, due to its cheap price and fit on oem controllers (best quality and durability).
      The only thing I think should be improved is the paddle position which, considering my big hands, I find a little uncomfortable. Also the plastic they made the paddles with is a little slippery! But I was able to solve the problem with some skateboard grip! Ahah hope this helped. Let me know what you think about it!

      If I don't solder the touchpad and the r3 and l3 buttons will they still be usable by themselves just need clarification before buying

    • @LiLLobby
      @LiLLobby  9 месяцев назад +2

      @@emmanueldoffoh4536 Hey man! In this video I show the Easy way that doesn’t include the soldering part. Soldering is only needed if you wish to remap L3 and R3 which in my opinion is risky and useless. Backbuttons are meant to let you use buttons like X, O etc without moving your thumbs from the sticks to get better aim while jumping and stuff. To press L3/R3 you don’t move the thumbs anyways so I really can’t understand why someone would want to remap those buttons. So yeah I made this video excluding that part, that in my opinion its not needed.

    This kit is much simpler than the BDM-010/BDM-020, given that it only has 1 ribbon cable to attach. The extra parts are for soldering, which I don’t recommend. Soldering its dangerous since you might break your controller why doing it, and irs only needed if you want to remap L3/R3 which in opinion its useless: pro controllers are made to let you use buttons without taking away the thumbs from the sticks. With L3/R3 you don’t move them thumbs anyways so I don’t understand why someone would want ro remap and take the risk of the soldering part. So yeah thats why I made this video excluding that part. • @LiLLobby
      @LiLLobby  5 месяцев назад

      Hey man! In this video I’m showing the easy way that doesn’t include the soldering part.

If I install the back case of the mod kit, these two buttons are already under tension and the small blue button underneath the paddles is already pushed down (without actally putting pressure on it). • @LiLLobby
      @LiLLobby  5 месяцев назад

      Hey man!
      But if you still wish to remap those buttons anyways, I raccomend you to check out extremerate’s video where they cover that part too

      Hey man you can tighten them up a little bit by tighten the moderboard screws, but don’t exaggerate otherwise you might break the motherboard itself

    Hey Great video :D. I just got a blue ps5 controller and i am very tempted to try this. I've seen a lot of videos talk about having to solder to use r3 and l3 buttons. Does this mean that the l3 and r3 buttons no longer work unless you solder? Thanks

    • @LiLLobby
      @LiLLobby  9 месяцев назад +1

      Hey man soldering is only needed if you wish to remap L3 or R3 to any backbuttons which in my opinion is risky and not worth it. This video is the easy way which doesn’t include that soldering part! Completely up to you if you want to solder, in that case make sure to follow extremerate’s tutorial on their YT channel. But yeah my raccomandation is to not solder and proceed how I explained in this video, since if you commit a mistake while soldering you might break your controller. At the end of the day ackbuttons are meant to let you play without never taking away your thumbs from the joysticks, which to press L3 and R3 you don’t do anyways so I really don’t get why some people would want to remap those to any backbuttons. Best way to use back buttons is to remap X, O, triangle and square! Hope this was helpful :)
