Tomsin screw driver is magnetic and it wins. I've never broke an extreme rate pry tool. Tomsin I did on the first try. I like the tomsin paddles better

But the tomsin paddles break easy and they feel a bit delayed
For extreme rate kit I recommend not even cutting and just use electrical tape to cover contact and tuck out of way. That way it can still be used later if swapped into different gen.

@@rustinpeacemaster As an update not cutting the unused cable allowed me to successfully reuse it in a next gen controller. The reason I knew this was important is all controllers eventually develop stick drift. You want to keep all options available on the extreme kit so you easily swap into another controller. I personally use Best Buy’s Warranty which is around $10 for 2-3yrs. The ability to install this without soldering is what sold me. So anytime your controller gets drift you take it to Best Buy and swap it for a new one and re up warranty for $10 again and swap kit into new controller without cutting cables to give you the option down road as needed. Hope this helps 🤙 (P.S watch out for the audio cable during installation as it can be finicky and get in the way when trying to close.

more than likely this is why. But I cannot handle paying 200 for a controller. That's half the consoles price. Let alone who knows it could get stick drift in a year.. Then I gotta buy another one 🙄🙄
@@briceecantbreathe no you can change the sticks individually on the controller very easily and they cost like 15 bucks each but yeah you are right 200 is too much should have been like 150 max.

Been using Tomsin for the past 6 month and one paddle already broke :/ i am actually surprise since i am NOT putting much hours either (around 1hr-2hr per day) and I really really like the paddles got used to them real quick.
Ill be switching to the Extreme Rate metal ones and try does. They probably have a better longevity since its metal.
I think two top wing buttons are better than the stupid edge buttons on the Rise4. Is the box swappable between the two?
yes it is. All u need to do is remove the board that connects the cables from extreme rate and attach the wire to the tomsin board and it should work.

Does anyone know why the paddles won’t work on my PC? I played with them on my friends ps5 and they work but once I try on my PC whether it’s for fortnite or something they’re not responsive only at times and then they disconnect again
Do you know any solution to my Dualsense's speakers not working? I accidentally removed the foam holding the speakers and now they don't work anymore :((
The foam helps the speaker make a power connection, by aligning the positive/negative pins. Without it, it’s most likely loose you need to put something there

I'm confused I have the bdm part that's a long skinny line

If you wanna to confirm the model type of you controller,you can check the motherboard inside,that's the best way to confirm the model.

Does the xtreme rate paddle feel awkward with the placement of ur fingers or does the other paddle feel more comfortable, in your opinion which one feels more comfortable?

TOMSIN back paddles have better tactile feedback when you press the paddles,like a brake on a car
I've been using the extreme rate for a year now and it was really comfortable. I wasn't accidentally clicking on the buttons. I also did not use all 4 fingers for the buttons. Just one on each side.

How sure is the UKCA thing being only 020? I just bought a brand new slim, factory direct. Trigger looks like 020 and has UKCA but there's also a spring in there when you tilt the controller up a little more 😅

No, just one button. For that you need Besavior controller, where you can program combos to a paddle. Check my review and installation video on my channel for Besavior Controller

i dont like charm focus, i recommend extremerate, or if you want turbo get Tomsin! these are the 2 best ones hands down

you can only remap the buttons on ps5 controller to the additional back paddles

Which paddle kid feels easier to press down do the toms in have a harder press I kinda want to be able to effortlessly click paddles without that much force so I can press them rlly fast

Isn't it a bad idea putting that on the battery like that. Won't the battery heating up cause damage or at the very least over time degrade the glue holding it?

So could I turbo the triggers and spam a single fire gun in call of duty or is it just for buttons? Also can u program touch pad swipes to the paddles for games like warframe so I could use the paddles for abilities instead of shifting my grip to swipe up/down/left/right on the touch pad?

@@TheGamer2KnowLies, I literally did mines by placing electrical tape over the unused ribbons. I should’ve made a video tbh cuz its one of the most asked questions and nobody had my idea.
You dont have to cut the cables, I placed electrical tape over the unused cable ribbon contacts that way still have access to both ribbons if needed to swap into different gen controller later.

if i have the extreme rate cables and I want to use the Tomsin can i just use the cable from extreme rate and plug it into the board for tomsin?
also does having the paddle below each other on the Tomsin make it easier to use it. I have trouble using the inner 2 paddles on extreme rate because of how they're placed.
Hey what’s up! First question I never tried that. But I would guess it won’t work. I will try it one of these days when working on a controller kit and let you know.
2nd question - it’s hard to say, but for me personally I enjoy the Extremerate paddles more than Tomsin. Maybe because I’ve used them for over a year. And for Tomsin I’ve played with them for about 3 weeks just to get a feel of them for my reviews. I prefer lifting my finger to tap the inner button on the Extremerate, than moving to click them
On the Tomsin, so it’s all to your preference. If you play with them for a long time. Either Tomsin or X-rate, I believe the muscle memory will make it smooth with either one

Problems with right paddle
Hi all guys I have had a ris4 remap kit for 3/4 months and since yesterday the right paddle has started to no longer work properly. for example if I take a character that can be crouched (I use O) and I press the key 10 times only 7 will work. it no longer responds correctly. I tried to take it apart yesterday and put it back together correctly. Has anyone encountered this same problem? i am really desperate😢😢
Do they click every time you push them? Make sure it clicks to register the button. Sometime you need to either tighten the board on the back of the kit or lose it to make sure it clicks and registers the button.
Other than that I would go over the installation again and make sure all connections are tight and even clean them with cleaning alcohol
It probably broke if you got the plastic version. I have the metal version and it's much better you can get the metal paddles for like 25

These r all dumb. They work for 1 controller, u void the warranty & its a pain in the ass. Plug in attachments r king but what a surprise, there r none. Makes me not want to use ds5. Rather use my paddles on ds4. Frickin ridiculous
