It took me about 80 minutes from start to finish but i was couple of times making sure that everything is well connected and that was way above double checking 🤣 but i'm happy because everything works perfectly. You showed everything so clearly that it was not a problem to do it at all. For people who are not decided yet for such a kit i can say that for 40$ it's definitely worth it. I never had any pro controller from any companies who are selling those products for 200$ or even more so i don't have any comparison but if someone would give me rise4 before saying that it's much more expensive than 40$ i would believe that. WAY BETTER than extremerate because the camera quality/shots & explanations were perfect. Extremerate should've just hired you but thumbs up, comment, & share is least I could do. Bravo sir. 👍
I used your video to install the kit today, thank you SO much! One thing I noticed for myself was that when I initially put on the K1 and K2 triggers, they weren’t clicking, so I had to go back ensure the little screws were TIGHT to ensure the buttons gave an audible click.
Its interesting, would you need it to click? I can normally here my friends clicking the crap out of their controllers, so thats white I ask. I wouldn't need them to click.
If you're concerned about the clicky sounds, the k1 and k2 paddles are muted for the metal remap pcb. For the rmb rise4, the K3 and K4 are clicky though. I was alittle disappointed on that but I don't press them as much since I use those for reloading or switching weapons. For the standard Rise 2 and Rise4 the switches are clicky.
@@Jupiter-35 I prefer rmb since the paddles won't/shouldn't break and the switches aren't as clicky. The switches are tough so they require a little more pressure to activate compared to the plastic.
It’s crazy I actually tried some cheap trigger kit off eBay. And ended up ripping my ribbons to my controller taking them out. I thought my controller was done. I was searching the bet trying to find replacement ribbons. 1 year later I come across extremerate and it replaces the one thing I thought had ruined my controller. The ribbons. I’m going bring it back to life with this kit. Thx for the video !
Aight I’ve successfully just finished putting this together and it works flawlessly great guide it was my 1st time. I decided to not cut the cables tho incase I need either or down the road I’ll have them. I just put electrical tape over the ones I wasn’t using (the 10s) and connected the 20s. Highly recommend this for future proofing and swaps into another controller when they get drift. Other thing I recommend is connecting the k1 and k2 paddles to the backing in the beginning as doing it in the air with the black ribbon pass thru was a little cumbersome. The trickiest part was the little brown cables on the bottom of the controller where the mic is. During the build it’s very easy to accidentally tug on it or have it get trapped as your going. Always check its positioning as its fickle and easily comes undone and can get stuck in the incorrect position. I imagine this is why a few people had issues with their mics afterwards. I also only peeled a quarter of the top and bottom of the sticker area before applying to battery. That way in future I can easily take it off when swapping kit out into another controller down the road. 10/10 best guide for this rise 4 kit! Aloha 😎🤙

The metal paddles are durable. A little wobbly compared to the plastic. The plastic people complained about them breaking but not sure how much that's changed since they updated the plastic paddles. The paddles feel firm. For which ever you decide to get, keep in mind that the V1 is ONLY compatible with BDM-010, they also might still have the non updated plastic paddles on the V1. I upgraded from the older one with 2 paddles. Love the clicky feel/sound, but not too sure I like the placement of the K3/K4 buttons. Will take some getting used to. Hella helpful install guide though. These are def worth it imo if you are into competitive FPS games. No delay in the button click and actual game response as far as I can tell.

The V2, RMB, and Rise4 are all compatible with BDM-010 and/or BDM-020.
@@im.a.caveman thanks. I will keep that in mind !
I just ended up going with the plastic ones. I will try to give an update on the feel once I install the kit.
Thanks for the vid bro, gave the confidence to buy it. Installed it step by step with this tutorial and it's working perfectly, had 0 experience doing this kind of stuff. Thank you a lot and keep it up.
I hope i do it right bro
Honestly the soldering was really easy. Got a super cheap soldering kit from Amazon for like 10$ and it took all of 60 secs to do for L3 and R3. But I really like the Rise4. I upgraded from the older one with 2 paddles. Love the clicky feel/sound, but not too sure I like the placement of the K3/K4 buttons. Will take some getting used to. Hella helpful install guide though. These are def worth it imo if you are into competitive FPS games. No delay in the button click and actual game response as far as I can tell.
so would remapping L3 and R3 to the paddles require soldering or is the whole kit solder free? great vid btw
For L3 and R3 it'll require soldering. This is the non soldering version. Which means no remapping for L3, R3 or touchpad. Thanks for watching!
Coming from another video...this is definitely the one that explains it the best and real efficiency
I came here because @JumpinProductions gave really good comments about your video and it has not disappointed.
Great video man! Liked and subscribed. 😊
Thanks for the sub! Where did he mention my video?
@@im.a.caveman Jumpin has a channel with several walkthroughs, I have been following him since his Bloodborne videos.
He talks about the Rise4 and mentions you in this video, starting at the 46:19 stamp ruclips.net/video/JY9t2wY4okg/видео.html
@@Rurriola Thanks! Stopped by his channel to leave a comment. It was generous of him to do that and for you to watch the video and sub. Glad the video helped.
Amazing video bro! Appreciate your quality content. One question, I wasnt gently enough and accidentally cut the front mic cable (7:30 on your video) can I continue moving forward accepting that this feature will not longer be available or the controller will now be completely disfunctional? any comment will be very much appreciated, thank you!
The controller is fine. Just nit the front mic. I found this: amzn.to/3GJ4aoh
Haven't used it myself but I think I might do a test run on these for situations like this. Might even do a video on it
Buy a new mic..it comes with the flex cable and microphone. Ali express has it . I’m not sure about Amazon or eBay .
Glad to have seen your video as without it I don't think I'd have managed to sort mine. Great help and keep up the good work
This was the best disassembly guide, and you showed how to install the kit
I just used your link and bought this because your video was so easy to follow. Wish me luck haha
Good luck! Patience is key. If you need to take a break during installation do that and get back to it. You got this!
I was surprised that I was able to install this kit, thanks for your help bro!
Easily better than the video that is recommended by the seller themself. I didn't have the Rise4, but the process was still exactly the same so it still worked great
This video made me want to mod my controller! Great job doing a true detailed tutorial!
How has it been
I installed two today on both of my BDM 10 controllers. Thank you for the tutorial.
Did u use this video as guide for the bdm10?
Glad I came around to see your video, really helped me with the processes of getting everything done right. I even watched your button swap video and really helped me more than the brands actually videos so thank you.👏
I am so happy I have discovered this, and I am looking forward to receiving it and trying it out! Thanks for the in- depth guide and affiliate link :D
Does your paddles still work?
@@voltressyt199 Yes, but I only got them a few weeks ago, so I can't comment on their long-term reliability.
Thank you so much bro. The best guide ever. It was my first time i opened a controller and everything was very easy following your steps. Thank you from Colombia, take care.
bought same controller and used your hair trigger video aswell, thx!
Ayy bro if i could like your videos more than once best believe i’d do it more than a hundred times, just attached my extreme rate this morning and this video really helped THANKS MAN!😁❤️
Just installed mine! Works perfectly! At last I can play without the pain from the idiotic ergonomics.
Thank you for this guide. I've just got done installing a few minutes ago thanks to your video.
Just purchased this kit! Thanks for the awesome and reassuring guide that helped me build the controller!
Thanks for watching. Enjoy!
does it come with controller back shell or is that a separate order?
@@Turkialasbali it comes with
Brotha!! Thank you for your help! Your guide was the best and easiest to follow. It was extremely helpful! Thank you!
Thanks for watching. Enjoy!
The best video i found the explains everything well and perfection every other video i watch they explain it so bad nice video 👍🏼
the best video if you want to install the 4 extreme buttons.. i just upgrade a brand new black controller with the 4 paddles blake mate colour!!.. I spent almost 2 hours as its my first time and i did it slowly and with care. it's good to make sure that everything is well connected with a god quality job. thanks buddy for your great video!!..the only thing that i dont like is that while removing the shell with the provided tool, you can leave some marks at the edges!!
Amazing step by step guide! The purple controller looks amazing
Thanks! The purple is definitely a must have
Nice. Taking the ps4 controller was a pain. This was made for us to do it ourselves. Awesome
You skipped an step but you still the goat
Which step did I skip?
@@im.a.caveman you didn't connect L3 and R3.
@@Picheal43 Oh, that's optional. Which I didn't do.
Just installed it following this guide. It works :) Thank you very much.
Did the whole kit to your video, great job and I’m subscribed for your future stuff!
Thank you Sir. I watched another tutorial and I broke the controller I had. Your video is the best I found. Many thanks.
How did your controller break?
Glad the video helped!
Not sure what the part is called but it’s at 6:12 in your video. You recommend grabbing the silicone part which helped. On the first controller I pulled out the entire white piece from the board. I broke the pins underneath. Hope that makes sense. Your video helped a lot. Cheers.
Btw I dig the music ! Great video bro !
i watched this excitedly, anticipating being able to remap my L3/R3 buttons cuz i hate using them... only to find out I cant unless i solder XD Otherwise, great video all round man
This tutorial is better that the manufacturer's. Thanks!!
Thank you but they're both different. Their's shows the soldering version and mine doesn't which is why mine is also shorter.
It's much easier than I thought. If you're thinking about it, go for it. It's really not bad
I just put my metal paddles in this kit and they worked fine!
Awesome! They're interchangeable but I personally don't like having the metal paddles with the Rise4 switches.
Bro thank you for this tut I bought this kit for myself and I watched a different guy but I have a bmd 030 and he had a 010 and I was so mad then I realized I had a refurbished controller I got when I first got the ps5 and it was 010 and now I’m not sad 😂
Bought my remap after watching this video great guide 👍🏾
Very helpful thank you. I bought the product from Amazon. Guess what?? They sent me 2 k1 paddles and no k2. So mine works now all but the k2. Rip. Thank you so much though. This was super comprehensive and got the job done.
Thanks for watching! You should contact them to let them know. You can also DM them on IG.
Just did his to my ps5. You def helped me big time with this. Thank you!
Finally getting around to doing this to my white ps5 controller. I’ve had the kit since June
This was the easiest installation guide thank you for the help bro it was to tricky following any other tutorial video
Thanks for watching!
Just finished doing this and tested it out!! Perfect video, Thank you so much seriously
I have the PS4 and PS5 version this new PS5 version looks great love extreme rate mods
Good clear instructions better than the products video that goes 2 fast. I too did not want to solder as my board did not show the second solder point that is shown. I missed where you screwed the kit onto the new grip. Had to pull it apart again to fit. All working.
Great video and guide ,very relaxing
Thanks for watching!
Thank you, your videos helped me out great. Definitely the best tutorial videos.
This was a damn good instructional video. Definitely gonna use the link.
Perfect guide, man
Thanks!
how do i know what to cut and what not to cut ? only part i didn’t understand but great vid
Did mines yesterday . Awesome guide. Thank you!
Many many thanks, dude ! I could easy replicate what you where doing and it all went great.
That's great man, enjoy!
FYI - can confirm the discount code IMACAVEMAN on Gaming Cobra works for the metal button (RMB) version of the Rise4 as well. They didn’t charge me tax either, which is pretty awesome I tell ya hwhat. Great content on your channel man, keep it up 👍
Thanks for using the code! Yeah the code should work for pretty much all the products, atleast to my knowledge, unless stated on the product but I haven't seen them exclude anything from a discount yet. Enjoy!
Everything worked great! I appriciatw the guide. Thanks man
Thanks for watching!
Thank you for the videos as it made installation of the kit a breeze!
for the people who wanna buy it y'all have to check the bdm of your controler before buying it this is maybe a reason that why some of y'all not getting it on
thank you very much, your video helped me add my paddles in under 30 minutes , excellent video
Thank you so much! I was able to complete this customisation without any struggle. thanks so much.
Ty, the process was extremely stressful for me so your guide was very helpful.
Just ordered mine, can't wait to install them. If there is one thing I hope they improve, that current official ps4 back buttons have, is the ability to save and switch between multiple profiles. That would be awesome.
followed this and it worked perfectly!
one issue, the K3 and K4 were labelled wrong. but no big deal
Great video, made the process super easy even for my 2.0
Great Video as always 😉
Thank you!
This video was clutch straight to the point and easy to follow thank you!
best guide and worked well for me. appreciate you bro
Followed this step by step thank you for the tutorial 🎉
Not sure if this is well known yet but I just got the ps5 GOW edition and it came with a BDM 30 controller that this doesn't work for. It had an A on the back but the mother board said BDM 30. I was fooled by this so you guys dont have to be. Great tutorial though and I cant wait until a set is made for the new controllers.
All done, great vid, and the controller works well, ty 👊😎
Nice detailed video brodie
