While wintering in Pahrump some years ago an old guy told me about Buffington Pockets but we never made it out there, thanks for taking us along! For us, a day without running into another soul is a good day.
So interesting..the diff in explorers, 2 types..the people who notice how alone they are in the middle of the wilderness, wanting to be with people/animals(group types who feel safer in numbers)and not feel alone and those that have zero issues being alone in the wilderness ..it's very noticable..not a knock, just an observation..
It’s a special experience for sure. I actually love it. I think the appreciation of it makes me more aware of it. Like I can’t believe how lucky I am. Thanks for watching!
My favorite Mountain House is Fettuccine. My Chocolate Lab DJ rode on the truck with me for 5 years from a pup she stays at home now but every time i leave she gets so upset with me for not taking her. She turns her back to me

Great video man! Glad I found your channel. I love the Nevada desert. (Born and raised) I currently live on the Central Coast of California, where I’ve spent most of my adult life as a firefighter for CalFire. I’m retired now, and like to get back into the Nevada desert every chance I get. (About 4-5 times a year) There’s no place quite like it. Especially for finding solitude.
Yeah it's pretty magical in my opinion. Appreciate all your hard work with CalFire! Glad there's brave people like you in the world. Thanks for watching
I'm a first time Jeep owner and new to overlanding/off roading. Your videos inspire me to do a trip like this as well. I'm thinking Anza Borrego. Do you have any recommendations for solo trips, recovery gear, or gas cans. Is it necessary to have those? I don't plan on going on any major hills or rocks, but I guess it's always better to be fully prepared than need something and not have it.
Thanks for watching! The more prepared you are the better. Better to have and not need than to need and not have. Having recovery gear is essential but you must also know how to use it. Also remember to bring lots of water and a satellite communicator in case you are off grid and need to call for help. I use the Garmin in reach mini. Overall it’s better to go with another vehicle especially if you are just starting out. Hopefully all this doesn’t overwhelm or discourage you! Now go get out there!
When overlanding, it feels like such a privilege be one of a very few people ever to witness that scenery.
So true

The only dehydrated meals I will eat are Heaters Choice! Definitely worth a try! My GOTO when cooking is not an option!
Haven’t heard of those. I’ll check them out! Thanks for watching!
Ton of petroglyphs 100 yards past that damn. Nice drive to the lake. Nice drone work! Thanks for sharing!
