My best friend died very unexpectedly shortly after you released this song. It was the last thing that I sent him... He was a huge fan of your music. So it comforts me a little that he was able to enjoy some very nice tunes in his last days... I really liked you before but now even more and I will always remember this song as a tribute to a man who ultimately changed my life. It’s remarkable how much better Dan’s voice sounds than ever. I can’t recall him ever hitting lows like that. And to still keep that angelic ass voice too. Unbelievable stuff.
For a second there I thought Will Ramos had him beat vocally...and while he is an excellent singer and vocalist himself (cleans that he hardly ever shows), this just shows how much of a master Dan is.
Dude hones his craft like one o’ them there samurai.
Dan has grown exponentially since his return to Tesseract and I don’t think he’s hit his peak yet.
I’ve always been a guitar guy, but I have to say I have really fallen in love with Amos’ bass playing. He stands out to me as one of the most creative and dynamic bassists in my lifetime. His parts add so much to their sound.
Every member is an amazing talent. Tesseract is truly a gift to the music world.
He just probably hit the gym.

This is the TesseracT I've been longing for. Unafraid to make an 11 minute song that isn't rushed, has room/time to breathe, simmer. Leaves openings to just get in a trance. Haven't felt this way since One and Altered State. Thank you, TesseracT!

The second half of this song, my god it might be some of the best TesseracT has ever released. The building tension, the aggression, heavy hits on the snare. Then the soothing vocals, the sorrowful lyrics, the comforting guitars......
An absolute masterpiece in every sense of the word. THIS is why we had to wait over 5 years.

That’s why Tesseract is so special IMO. In today’s world, most people struggle with attention span. So bands tend to do too much to keep them around. But not Tess. They’re not afraid to let their music breathe.

It almost reminds me of a nod to bleed. The offset triplet blasts. But it's still VERY Tesseract style rhythm, and it's not a bad thing to borrow from greatness in music. I loved that part a ton also.

I’ve always said Danisbetteract, he is THE vocalist for this band.
I think this is the best showcase of Daniel’s vocals we’ve seen yet, so powerful and the whole sound feels like a conjunction of all their previous work.
I'm glad this turned out the way it did. I was feeling very dispassionate towards Daniel's vocals after the last two albums, but I couldn't not love what he did here, the unexpected low growls, the harmonization of some of his lines, and the sinister/almost robotic voice at the "tomorrow came for me" line (it's like he's interpreting a character, and I love that kind of shit). Consider me interested in what's going to come.

Honestly, yes. And I'm drinking it in! Opeth fell off some, but Ne Obliviscaris took their incredible mantal. Also Tesseract and Architects and Spiritbox and Sleep Token; bands like all those guys are raising bars and pushing metal forward. I am so damn glad to be able to hear them.

Daniel is such an underrated vocalist. I have loved him in everything from Tesseract, Haji's Kitchen, White Moth Black Butterfly and so on. Just a fantastic singer!

Also First Signs Of Frost, PIANO, Absent Hearts, Skyharbor, and his multiple feats in other works (Omertah, Dzyen, Cycleman, Star Monarchy, etc).

Hes the ultimate singer so versitile and extremely talented. His screams are haunting and his clean vocals are from the gods..my absolute favourite vocalist in this world.
It is a very rare occasion that a song makes me tear up. This one did. TesseracT is just pure genius, the fall of FellSilent gave birth to 2 bands that changed my perception of music forever which I’m eternally grateful for.

I usually always want to mention Ne Obliviscaris when talking about the greatest metal songs written (and still do!) But that doesn't change anything. I agree with you, this absolutely blew me away. Felt extascy, waves of emotion and wonder; tears. Almost spiritual. They really did something here and I'm fucking stoked to see it!

Was not a Tesseract fan. Am now. Great guitar tones and riffs. This is music.
Again, Tesseract remind us they are on top of the game, continue to push the envelope, and have set the bar that much higher. The last 5 years have been very long, but this is without a doubt, peak Tesseract. 10/10.
That first riff almost threw my head off my shoulders. All the hype of the last 5 years exploding in that choppy monster oh my god I love it.
What a comeback! And there's plenty of strength to go around. The dissonant guitar chords - what a brilliant idea! It's disruptive, and that's the point, while keeping the rhythm: brilliant. The rhythm, the guitars - you get the impression of several pieces in one. And the voice! What a voice! Screaming, high-pitched, low-pitched, clear voice, and all that for 10 minutes! I've always been a fan! But now you've hit the metal scene and our hearts very, very hard.
That bass tone though! One of THE most epic songs I've ever heard in my life. Hands down. 👏 👏 👏 👏
Dan's vocals and especially his screams are phenomenal on this one. From a singer's perspective at least it's the best part of the song 😍

The rest of the song actually sounds pretty good, but these sort of djent vocals will never sound good to me, the cleans are too poppy and the screams are too safe. Honestly if this band got a vocalist like Einar Solberg I would love it, his screams, especially on The Congregation are absolutely incredible and his cleans are insanely good too.

This is the tippity top of music humans have been able to cultivate thus far in our tireless yet fantastic existence. We don't deserve something this special, but certainly the world is better for this now existing.
I mean what is there even to say after watching and listening something like that. It's literally unbelievable. Been listening to Tesseract for 10 years, and you really don't know how they could go further, but they always do. We're talking the top literal 1% of human being talent and soul right here. They took everything they know from Meshuggah and Tool and stuck it into a highly polished and produced offering. It's okay. Certainly not groundbreaking or anywhere near as powerful as the former bands.

Been listening to this band for a few weeks now and I can't listen to anything else XD
Can't believe it's almost been a year and I still jam to this album. Daniel Tompkins has one of those voices you think you can live without but keeps enticing you to listen more and before you know it you're a fan already. The guitar work is also incredibly crisp on this track, especially the middle section where it's more post metal and melodic because not all metal needs to be heavy and that's what it I love about prog metal. Love this band.
What a Masterpiece. This song molds every element from Tesseract's previous albums and creates a journey that takes the listener through pure emotion. The concept, graphics, songwriting and Daniel's interpretation brings everything together creating something unique, yet familiar to every Tesseract fan. Thank you so much for delivering us so many emotions across the years, I can't wait to enjoy all the rest of the songs from the album and sing them loudly to the next year's concerts.

But I can honestly say that the thing I DIDN'T like about this song was that it felt like it incorporated everything that they have previously done.
Not everything needs to be "for me". I'm perfectly happy skipping through the handful of their tracks that I dislike, but I don't really have that option for a kitchen-sink song like this.
It's neat that they are exploring the 'Thall' sound though.

Just listened for the second time on my headphones, jesus... I missed SOOOO much the first time on my phone speakers.... every so often you hear a song and just KNOW it's a defining masterpiece in a bands catalog, this is my first song to ever hear by TesseracT and I can tell this was a work of pure exceptional, emotional force by them. I can feel the emotion behind the visuals, vocals, and music... this band is full of absolute UNITS.🥴👌

I really like both bands, both are masters of polyrhythms. Tool is great live, and I just got tickets to see Tesseract for the first time🤘

Honestly, was not sure at first. Every time I replay this it just keeps getting better and better. Songs that live on for you, are sometimes ones that you have to dig in to. What a great song, playing through my studio monitors and repeating it, impressive.
On the mark. It's so deep you can't take it all in one listen. Dan's screams in this are so perfect.
It says something when you can play a song literally 100 times and still not get sick of it. The vocals, the bass, the unbelievable drum fills there so much to this song. I'm not a huge screamo type, but in this song it's almost like a release from the tension that builds and I quite enjoy it!
