My wardrobe is based on maxi skirts and all kinds of dresses. And instead of jeans, I wear warm and soft brown high waist trousers, they match pretty much with everything, just like black jeans. But my style is kind of "warm, comfy and feminine with some vintage and medieval vibes" :D

I LOVE the beige autumn tank you wear, I have been loving that style top lately with a pair of skinny jeans. It is comfy but still stylish. I also love that gold band, very classic. I live in FL so a basic autumn piece I include is a sheer/light scarf. Then when I get chilly I just wrap it around my arms. Have a great day!

I‘m obsessed with flannels. I have 7 different checkered ones and wear them all fall and winter long. I also own them for 5+ years and they’re as good as new 😊 Gives me a casual vibe with a longsleeve shirt, leather boots and regular blue jeans ❤️

I love cardigans for fall - especially layered over a short sleeved shirt or tee.
We have been paring down our wardrobes over the last few years. What is trickier for us is that we have a work wardrobe and home wardrobe due to our professions. We also experience all four seasons - from bitter cold & snow to hot & humid. Right now it’s about being intentional with pieces we add.

Boots. Boots are one thing that I love to hoard- I’ve got 4 pairs! This past winter I never took my Blundstones off and I have a feeling this fall is going to be the same way. They serve as a great versatile item and it can be really fun to build an outfit based off of them
Good quality boots are just a classic. I truly love my grey Timberland‘s and my black leather Buffalo knee-high boots. I‘ll wear them until they fall apart 😄 and they last for years!

My autumn wardrobe is very similar to yours but I like a combination of bright and neutral. I'm soon going to set up my spring wardrobe. I have about 33 items for the year which is tops; dresses and bottoms. Thanks for doing this video it gave me inspiration

I love basics, your colour pallete is lovely :) :) we are in spring now and have just come out of winter in Australia, you wouldn't think so as it is still pretty cold, but I am a very cold person due to low blood pressure, so during winter I live in long sleeve tops, cardigans and sweaters, I admire those who break out the tshirts as its usually to cold for me to do that in Melb. I ordered a few long sleeve tops recently due to ISO as I only had 2 long sleeve tops so I'm happy I filled that gap in my wardrobe :) :) Plus side to being cold I don't have to buy to many tshirts as I only wear them in summer when it gets between 25 to 48 degree's celcius. Most of the time weather is below 15 degrees.

I do love my sweaters, nisolo boots, and everlane jeans. But no skinny jeans for me! For a while I didn't wear jeans because I couldn't find any comfortable enough.

Knowing it's almost 100 degrees outside in Charlotte.....you're the real MVP for throwing on sweaters right now, even if it's for the few minutes you're filming.
Haha honestly even on warm days, I’ll often wear sweaters around the house in the mornings. Christopher likes blasting the air conditioning on me 😂
I do white, navy and brown t-shirts. I do turtle tracks for sweaters. We have winter weather from September-May. I need to work on my jewelry. Just bought a new pair of dark jeans. Flannels are great but never can find any that don't shrink up and become to short in the sleeves. My favorite lace up boots are Justin Ropers.
Loved hearing all of these essentials Gretchen! Those t-shirts all sound like fantastic basics! And I love a good flannel too! One tip I’ve found to be helpful though is just not to dry them. It can really help reduce shrinkage 🤍
On the flannels I might have to look at men's clothing. I am a tall woman and women's flannels are just not cutting it at all.

I like your style, but I’m not really sure what makes this minimalist as opposed to just some clothes you like and wear often? Really pretty flannel!

Honestly many of these could translate well to a male wardrobe! Here are a few specific items/categories I’d recommend though:
1. Neutral tee
2. Cashmere crew - love these for guys!
3. A timeless + quality watch
4. Great fitting jeans
5. A nice flannel or oxford shirt
6. Lace up boots - particularly love the chukka style for guys
7. Patterned button-down or t-shirt

If you don't have to, don't wear a bra, It's soooo much more comfortable, you sweat less and also it's just freeing. I wasn't wearing a bra for the whole summer and it's weird for me to wear any, so I only wear sports bra if I have to. I rarely wear a normal bra nowadays 🖤
I really would love subtitles on your videos, you are wonderful and the information you share could reach a ton more people if subtitles were added. (Not CC) It would be so helpful for the hearing impared. I can never figure out how to transcribe youtube videos, or else I would do it.
I got rid of all of my jewelry except my diamonds. They go with everything, will last forever, and never go out of style. I got rid of all of my sweaters. I know longer work in an office and over the years I just get too hot to wear them. I love to layer with a t-shirt and personally love flannels. I hate dressing up anymore.
How do you balance a wordrobe when you are loosing weight? I`d like to invest in new and more longterm pieces that is really me and some more profecional stuff for my upcomming internship. I just have no clue where to start. Also feel like the stuff that i do have is outdated and too big, but some pieces are still my style.
For me it's definitely a big hoodie, i can hide in 🙈 Even though it's august, where i live it's litterly 13 degrees celcius...🙈 And a good pair of black mom jeans ^^

I am a mom and i need functional clothing and shoes. Purses wel i make an exception. But I bought last week a new pair pf jeans. I threw my old jeans away because my jeans was worn out and the next thing i bought were 2 pairs of boots. I choose my boots for comfort. But they were pricy. And a new wintercoat. I went to my favorite store. They know me and they chose my coat and it was a hurdle. It was 300 but i got 108 euros discount. But i will wear this one untill it falls apart.

I would suggest checking this site called Good On You which helps you find the sustainability ratings for companies you like or are considering (directory.goodonyou.eco/brand/everlane) I've seen a lot of people saying Everlane is a sustainable and ethical brand but according to the site they are not good enough, I hope they improve on that regard.
