This video saved our day. Carnival swapped ports on us with minimal warning. We watched this video on the drive to the cruise port, and knew precisely what to do! And you know what? Progreso wasn't bad! Nearly no English speakers, but thankfully we met a man named Hector just beyond where the construction begins (road dug up) and he took good care of us all day.
It is exactly how I remembered when we were there August 2019. No public wash station or restroom still. I wish cruise line builds their beach station for their guests to use, even with minimal charge.
Your welcome, i am glad you found it helpful. I have some other Cozumel ones as well, maybe you havent seen them yet? this is one of them: ruclips.net/video/LDA8YpcExuc/видео.html
Excellent info I’m going here next weekend and wasn’t sure how far the beach was and how easy the shuttle was! Thanks for the the great video! Definitely getting off at this stop on our cruise!
I would love to visit Progreso. I u understand that there are quite a few expat Canadians and Americans living there. A cruise would give a little sample taste of this Yucatan village. I noticed the Canadian flag on a shop after you made your way onto the street any idea what that’s all about? Oh yeah, have to say yes I did watch your vid right to the end. 👍
I didnt notice the flag, I will ha e to watch it back. More than likely the owner is Canadian or is married to a local? I've heard the same thing about the expats living in the Progreso area.
You have to pay to use the bathroom in progresso, we found that there was poop floating in the water at the beach by the pier. It smelled so bad there in the water. We enjoyed the massage, low prices for drinks and good service on the beach.

Thank goodness someone made a positive video on frugal fun in Progresso. Going in Dec. 2024.

Thanks for sharing how to get to beach from the cruise port in Progreso.

Really helpful since it’s been a while since I’ve been to Progresso. Going in November for my honeymoon.

Just got back from progreso. They changed the bus station. We still made it to the beach. But its not anywhere near here sadly.
How far is it?
I will have a couple ladies with canes.
Do you know how much a taxi is taxi probably can't get any closer.
How long has beach area been there and open to public
Hey thanks I like it I will be there in may 18 2020 God willing
Your going to be sailing on the Carnival Dream or another ship thats going to visit Progreso?
@@ILikeCruiseShips going on the valor
@@ILikeCruiseShips I just hope that my cruise doesn't get cancel, because of the coronavirus
When it time to get back on the bus to head to the ship do we go back to the flea market
Correct. The same spot where I got off the bus is where you catch it back again. They run about every 15 minutes.

You’re likely right about that.
That guy in the background on the bus 😂
I was actually in Progresso on the dream feb 25, 2020.
Ahhhh, Wow, Ok. Perhaps you came into the liquor store and we met?
I Like Cruise Ships perhaps.
do they charge a fee for the bus
On the bus, do they allow kids under the age of 3? We will be cruising and visiting progresso 😊
Have you been back to Progresso in 2022? Is everything the same to get here?
I learned from being in Miami that it won't be any fun if you don't have some shade on the beach.

Looks too bright, too hot and too crowded. I'll pass.
Very helpful Thanks!
