I checked the WEN and it seems like the same machine or source etc. Also this one is rated for metals by Vevor, but that was more my opinion than Vevor. I've got a lot of other ways to cut metal so, NOT my first choice.
Thanks for the review. When I had my shop, I was a bit of a bandsaw badger. I rebuilt old Delta, Crescent and Powermatic saws. My favorites were a 1938 10" Delta, a 1947 Delta/Milwaukee 14" and a 1946 Crescent 20". However, my "BEST" saw was a Craftsman branded 14" Taiwan steel frame; very similar in construction to the 10" you reviewed here. Now that I have a cargo trailer shop, I was thinking about the Rikon 10-305. This might be very similar at a much lower price.
They are sending me their 14". I hope it has a thicker, stronger table then the one on this 10". I noticed a raised spot on yours where it had hit the stop-bolt underneath. Good, interesitng review, fun to watch, good job! 😃 Phil
I like their prices for tools. Actually saw their brand name years ago in other countries. Seem like they are now getting into the US market. One good thing too is their warehouse and shipping is quick for most things.
Can the Vevor resaw wood though? It seems you would only really be buying a 14 inch bandsaw if you planned on resawing wood. Like how would it do with a piece of 6 inch red oak stock?
@@SirTools Thanks for checking. I have an old Craftsman and can run up to 3/4” width blades. The height is not much but it does ok for small re-sawing jobs.
@@SirToolsI think half inch is plenty for this saw. It’s not for milling 12’x32” trees. You could do a good job resawing with half inch blade. And you can set up for 5”+ height. Thank you for the review.
Have done any resawing with the vevor? I'm assuming if it's coming from the same manufacturer as WEN it should be same quality with that 6" capacity right?
@Coffee and Tools I'm currently debating between the wen and vevor 10" bandsaws, I plan on doing some resawing and they both seem to have the exact same specs (only 2 ten inch bandsaws with 6" resaw capacity) which makes me think it's the same manufacturer. At $100 cheaper, vevor is the one I'm leaning towards but I can't find many reviews
My wen is identical to this. I used it to jump start a business and it's still going strong after 5ish years.

@@SirTools I've used mine to cut brass and aluminum and it's done ok.

Thanks for your video. I have never heard of vevor. based on your video I saved some money!

Yeah, I used a socket and tried to screw it up hard and ...oops :)
I have a 2 speed WEN band saw. The manual says low speed is for metal with a metal cutting blade, ferrous and nonferrous. With high speed for wood.
I checked the WEN and it seems to be the same deal with speed and material.
I need THAT saw !
yeah
Cinoton
I wish i had a fence and miter gauge for my bandsaws thats the downside of buying used. Does that have blocks or bearings as the guides?
Yeap, all bearings and blocks on the guide. 3 bearings top and 3 bearings bottom and two metal block guides.
Hands down: vevor!
Another cool tool.
I want one!
Thanks Farside 🤠
Dang vevor seems like they do it all and well.

How 90° is the fence?
This one checked out good. I have not heard anyone complaint yet, but like all things tools, give it time LOLOL
This bandsaw is currently rated @ 3.8 on Amazon. That's lower than saws that are 30% less expensive.

Go slow LOLOL
Interesting. What is the maximum blade width?
I did not see that listed in the specs on the Amazon link.
Can't see that anywhere here. I'm thinking 3/8 inch.

@@kenluning909 Found it. Max shows about 1/2 inch. OR metric 12mm LOLOL...OMG...metric HA HA HA....dang.

Seems to be a pretty good saw :)

Wish we had t he WEN here to compare.

I think it is the same "maker" but the price is what keeps selling me. And I'm a cheap date on tools 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Never saw the link for the good price
It's in the description , click on more info maybe ?
Same as WEN, but better price
Well NOW you’ve done it!!🙄😎
This is one craftsman tool I do not care for….but this vevor….🤔
🤠🤠🤠🤠
You changed my mind from a 10 inch grizzly to this
We like Grizzly. Price wise and amount of use however says cheap is good enough LOLOL
"for the first time" yeah right
Yeah...🤠
I have this saw, cutting 5 inches oak with no problems for 5 months so far
Looked like you realy struggled to pretend to like this machine ,i'll be sure to stay away from this thing thanks for the effort
I like the band saw so much, I kept it here with my tools. A lot of other items get sold off.
