This part scared the crap out of me last night is was legitimately terrifying lol it was funny afterwards but man the game does a great job at those jump scares

I know! The last three Tomb Raider games have all had a great fear/horror element to them. From Tomb Raider 2013, with those giant Samurai-looking monsters, to those ancient undead warriors in Rise, and these cave-zombie creatures in Shadow - there has been no shortage of underwear changes due to the shitting of one's pants 💩 lmao
I hate these creatures so much, I hated this part in general because of these creatures everywhere... I was so scared

Freaked me out initially. Died and thought, 'God, this is gonna be a pain in the ass'. Didn't realize it, but I guess I was on the last guy when I died. Haven't quite finished the game YET, but I hope these buggers don't show up again.
This level is a BASTARD Lara is not designed for this kind of combat its a real pain in the ass.
My stategy was this: go on easy level for this battle, get a machine gun (with as much add ons as possible), shoot as many before they can reach you, and once they come out from the other side move around more. The secret is to kill before they come closer and to have them chase you around. Do a mix and you should beat them.

This level is seriously so ridiculous. I died 1000 times on this game that's like every 10 steps, and on this level multiply that by 10. It's almost not becoming fun anymore. This level is impossible
what's stupid about the entire thing is you have to continuously put slugs in these inbreds. You know what one slug would do to someone? That's what pisses me off about video games. Even if someone is wearing a vest their ribs would break and wouldn't be able to get up
For anyone struggling, you can make this much easier by taking the focus plant to slow down time 👍🏼 (requires scales of the serpent skill)
I’m not gunna lie, when that Yaxxil came out of nowhere in my first play through, it scared the shit outta me.
I died at least 10 times before I cleared this XD..... Thank god they can't swim
The whole underworld thing was so scary and so hard to achieve... all of this for not even finding the box! I hate those creatures

I had to stop after this fight last night. I noticed fire seems to be a weakness for them. I should try crafting a bunch of fire arrows before going in.

Tried this about 50 times. Gave up for over a year. Wish we had a ‘pass’ so we can bypass this scene. My heart pops out every time I try this. Not good for a woman in her 60s.

When I first came here i got freaked out of the way they look , so I called up my cousins to help me overcome this task peacefully but we failed to resist against their creepy faces and their terrifying style of attack
I don't understand how she can be jumped on and fall through but if she gets knocked down she can't fight back. She gets her head bashed in..

Playing this on Deadly Obsession was brutal because there is a whole 45 minutes of game play, which includes this scene (with a lot more them attacking & some with archers) and if you die at anytime in the game you’ve to all the way back, to where the camp fire is located just before this scene. Lol.

I have to say: more than one shot per monster for the shotgun? I killed them with one bullet from a fully upgraded River Hawk.

Took me a few tries, as I’m not as quick or agile with machine gun. For me, it was important to use the green exploding bowls to my advantage to take out more zombies while I had shot gun bullets.
The green bowls also seem to be helpful. However I am stuck at this 😂 and I don't know why
Samantha Benton it’s tough, I didn’t think I could get past it. First zombie 2/3 shot gun bullets. Second zombie take out with green bowl to left as he enters. Then as few zombies arrive to top right take out top green bowl then bottom one, if lucky this can take out 4 zombies..
Samantha Benton then zombie with arrows arrives top left, if nice shot can get with one bullet. Zombie with arrows to right then. I still had few rounds in shot gun and when only needed to take out 2/3 with machine gun... then ran up when next few break through run past turn and shot green bowl killing few again. 😅😅
Same that is the only thing that kept me alive on deadly opsession so now I have a ton of shotgun ammo and assault rifle ammo but only 8 pistol rounds

This part was really fun for me! Scared the crap out of me but I enjoy jump scared and fights like this. Although they were easy to defeat with the shotgun so I made it more challenging and I did it again with the bow.
Okay this part and beyond nope just nope those Yaxil creep me out! This makes Ravenholm in Half-Life two look like a walk in the park with blossoming flowers 😩
This place was so scary to me but since this is a tomb raider game i thought there won't be any zombies so i feel like it won't be tat bad... But here i am facing these creatures.

I rage quit 3 times and woke my husband up cursing and throwing the headphones to the floor. Which my 4 feet of hair got stuck on, pissing me off more. 😒 these fuckin things are totally OP and Lara cant take a fucking hit in this game. Ive leveled her up, used endurance plants, but she dies from one scratch. 😤 this is my favorite series so im not new to these games, and id like to think im pretty good at them. I've never died this much fighting the oni or the deathless. YO FUCK THESE ZOMBIE ASSHOLES o3o

Seriously, that's even worse than pirating the game. Like AwesomeRussian183 said, you suck. And yes, this was beatable, so you suck even more. Perhaps next time stay away from these games and leave those friendly people, selling you these games, alone instead of costing them and Square Enix money because you abuse the return policy. Perhaps Minecraft is more your thing, although not sure if you can even manage to keep yourself alive in that game as well. Again, you suck.

i hate how toned down the supernatural elements of the modern tomb raider games are. like the originals had some CREEPY enemies, but modern tr is just like "zombies"
I actually like it. I love games like uncharted 3, 4 and lost legacy because they dont have supernatural shit but it is all about exploration of ancient cultures which is the most fun for me
Well they're not zombies. They ancient protectors of an powerful artifact that were literally put here by a god. I really have no idea why this was posted as "zombies" when there's nothing remotely close to it in the game.

They didn't have to drag this out so much. There's no strategy involved in how you take these things out, no planning, , ABYSMAL camera control and no checkpoints. Absolutely shitty part, punishing for punishment's sake, fuck the devs for that lol

This game is considerably worse than Rise of the Tomb Raider. The story is kind of boring and the gameplay like in this scene is annoying.
They simplified and yet overcomplicated the game at the same time.
