    Intravenous iron infusions work really well. Covered by all insurances. Best to get an infusion at start of the second trimester. It's hard to get enough iron by food or by supplements.

    I had anemia before I was pregnant. Had a hard time conceiving. I ate grass fed beef liver for 2 months before I finally got pregnant, ate it all throughout my pregnancy. I no longer have crippling anxiety or anemia. If you can stand the taste I would suggest it.

    I’m 22 weeks pregnant and was just diagnosed with Anemia when I went to the hospital cause I couldn’t stand up more then 10 mins without my heart starting to race, getting dizzy, blurry vision, just on the urge of feeling like I was going to pass out! affecting me not being able to work. All the hospital did was rehydrate me and that was it and still feel the same every time I stand up for to long..

    I have been experiencing fatigue, weakness and shortness of breath throughout the pregnancy that magically goes away temporarily when I eat a stake.
    I don’t eat red meats often and probably don’t get enough iron otherwise. None of the blood tests we took routinely have indicated anemia. Trying to see what I can do to feel better - thank you for the content!

    I was diagnosed with low T, low zinc and low iron at age 32… Possibly an auto immune disorder as well. I’ve been struggling for years and finally got a answer through blood work.. recently 3 months pregnant… It always seems hard to get an answer on how much I should be taking of zinc and iron… now that I’m pregnant… what is safe? Can I take a prenatal and an iron supp? I 100% agree on trying to get it through diet but I believe I need an additional supplement 😌

    Almost 16weeks. I have iron deficiency as well. My blood work marked few ovalocytes and rare tear drop cells. My doctor hasn’t said anything besides taking supplements for iron and vitamin c. I’ve been doing that for the past couple weeks but am more tired this week than ever. Currently 34 weeks pregnant, do you have any suggestions for Restless Leg Syndrome? Most doctors seem clueless but I've heard it can be affected by mineral balance (especially with Iron/Magnesium/Potassium). I've been trying to self medicate with nutrition which has helped a little but it's still exhausting not being able to sleep at night. A video on the topic would be an absolute God send for the 30% or so of pregnant women who suffer, it would be amazing to know which products you would recommend!

    I was in my 2nd or 3rd trimester with my son when I developed anemia. I had no idea and it was not detected prior tp symptoms. I actually began to black out (almost like tunnel vision) while driving and I, being concerned, went straight to the ER. The doctor did nothing for me besides a UA. He thought I was basically insane and did no blood test, sent me home. (I could have blacked out again driving home!) So when I went to my Dr.'s they did a CBC and found it but I suffered for at least 2 weeks. Now I know the signs and to test for it via blood draw prior.

    • @CicadaCurio
      @CicadaCurio 2 года назад

      Same my symptoms got attributed to anxiety the first two visits I had to the hospital, started fainting they finally started drawing blood and saw it was low but wasn't to too alarmed then it continued dropping, gave me iron supplements dropped again now I'm about to get IV transfusions at 31 weeks hopefully there is time to absorb it. It's incredible how dismissive Drs can be with pregnant women they often attribute everything to nerves it seems until things get to serious.

    a study (Steer P, Alam MA, Wadsworth J, Welch A. Relation between maternal hemoglobin concentration and birth weight in different ethnic groups. BMJ 1995; 310: 389-91) actually suggests not going crazy with iron levels and as can be seen the least risky amount of hemoglbim is around 9.6-11.5 while the 9.6 actually even the lower risk option - of pre mature birth and a very low birth weight, while the riskiest levels are actually greater than 14.5 going below 8.5 is also not recommende. my point was that levels such as 9.6 and 11.5 might be considered as anemia while this study suggests these are the most safe levels.

I wasn't sure about your natural method but it sure seems to be working (her words exactly) - my levels are going up beautifully. Whatever the real numbers are - the scale shows you are Anemic at anything under 11.7 and I went from a 9 to now 11.6 lol (again not accurate numbers but the general idea of what I was told today by my gyno) so THANK YOU KIRA - what a blessing to feel so good again and not compromise unnecessary chemicals that would've added constipation to the list!

    I’m pregnant now about 20 weeks and im so sure I have it. I had it with my first baby and it feels the same. STRONG craving for cardboard or paper. I want to smell paper or smell dirt. Feel so tired and light headed. I can’t keep my eyes open all day. I also feel very dizzy. Not sure if this is a symptom or if I’m just pregnant but I have muscle or bone pain. Can’t tell which. But legs, feet, hand, arms hurt.

      @@ItsBrittany. hi Brittany! A food high in Iron is alfalfa, look into either loose alfalfa you can make into tea, or they also have pill forms of it, and make sure you have a powder form of vitamin c (not a pill) because vitamin c helps your body process iron and absorb it better. Also, if you're not vegan, look into grassfed beef liver, it comes in tablet form so you don't need to eat the liver, but can be very pricey. But they are a great source of iron as well!

    Can you take 20 ml twice to have extra effect? I'm worried 30 mg supplement per day is not enough to significantly correct my anemia. My doctor doesn't want to hear it, she wants me taking FE or 325 mg of ferrous sulfate, but that makes me feel like crap and makes me have poor appetite when I take that form so I'd rather take something more natural like this. Ps I do plan on adding chlorophyll as well. I also heard spirulina supplementation helps?

      i agree i couldn't stand taking 325mg either it made me really sick i recommend take 27mg i take 27mg and im anemic it will raise your iron levels in a month its much better than the 325mg my doctor tried get me to take the 325mg one but it caused bad constipation and bad morning sickness i think the safest is 27mg or 18mg depends tbh
