That is a sizable lure! Is this your largest build? Nice work Randy!

Thank you!! Yeah, it's a pretty big lure for some pretty big fish. It's not my largest lure. I am working on one that is slightly bigger and I have a 16inch walleye swimbait I made and haven't finished.

@@rg22outdooradventures88 Well, if you post videos for those, I will be certain to watch. Thanks!

Spent some time catching up on your earlier lure making videos. I was trying to determine if your shop was in a garage, shed, or basement. By the looks of things, I'm figuring that it's probably a basement. I have to go out to a shed to operate tools while rough cutting & shaping the blanks, and then work in my bedroom to carve and paint the lures, without making a mess so I don't get into trouble. Sure wish I had a conditioned space to leave everything set up and ready to use. Also, I have to drive for miles to test lures, it sure would be sweet to have a little pond like that to test in. The description of your channel sounds like you are near Lake Erie. I'm guessing that's where you'll be putting these lures to the test. I hope they lay into some big ones!!!

Hello!!! Yes, the "shop" is in my basement. It's nice to have a dedicated space, but it's a bit cramped and space is at a premium. The work area is an old office desk where my bandsaw, belt sander, drill press, tool box, lead pot, rotisserie, and airbrush station are located. The pond is a neighbors pond that I have permission to tedt the lures. I've also gone to a local lake as well. Yes I am in Northeast Ohio. I'm hoping these big lures I'm making will be used and catch some big toothy critters on Lake Vermilion and Green Bay in the coming months. Thanks again. I'm working on another video. I do them when time allows so as you noticed I can go weeks without posting a video😔😔.

Did you tank test the lure when adding weights? Don't wanna mess up my lure adding to much. Thanks. Very helpful!!!

Hello!!! Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. When I first started, I did. Especially when I was learning how to make a jointed swimbait. I used a few different methods the Zimmtex method of hot gluing and the Marling method of drilling a hole, adding lead and drilling out, or adding to if needed. The baits I make now, I am just looking to have it sitting upright in the water. When I made my internal weighting lures, it was pretty much a guesstimate of how much and where the lead should have been placed. A couple were successes while others were utter failures. Needless to say, I kind of abandoned that method, but I was fun developing it. Thanks again, and have a wonderful day. Oh, I'm working on a couple of videos. I just have to finish editing and it just takes forever.
