      ​@@jimwitthfftjrgensen1400 Bluegrass typically consists of just acoustic guitar, banjo, mandolin, bass, dobro, and fiddle. A country band, on the other hand, might include pedal steel, keyboard, electric guitars, and drums.

    I have been introducing myself to the Americana/Folk/Bluegrass artists and I have been thinking about where I have been because I have been so disappointed in contemporary country. Dan and Ronnie are keeping my surprise at the great talent that is out there! I have found new mentors for my own music and I'm taking a new turn down a beautiful road! Thanks guys!

    These guys voices blend so perfectly sometimes it's hard to tell who's singing the high part or the low part. F today's county, bluegrass is where it's at!

    Ronnie Bowman is soo good! What a great singer and player! The two guys that really nailed the LRB sound in the early 90's right here.

    The sound Dan gets from his dreadnaught is the quintessential sound of the American steel string guitar.

      I'm betting it's a Martin D-18. Perfect for bluegrass music. Love a guitar through a mic instead of something from inside the guitar.

    Their voices just belong together. Two of my lifelong heroes, both highly underrated/appreciated. The only thing i didn’t love about this was that it wasn’t about twice as long!

    Gotta love the way Dan just adjust the tuning on his bass strings, yet the thumping never stops!
    Also, I really love when Dan belts it out on those higher notes.
    What a performance!

      @@originalformulamusic I believe that Ronnie's D28 is a 1934, Dan's is a 1946 That 34' was owned by Dan and eventually he sold it to Ronnie.

      Well actually Dan plays everything from Guitar to Mandolin to Banjo to even the fiddle. And Ronnie can play Bass, Guitar and Mandolin. And they played in the lonesome river band together in the early 90s with Sammy Shelor on Banjo, Tim Austin on Guitar, and Dan on Mandolin and Ronnie on Bass.

    I accidentally ended up here because i was searching for a ' how to play Man of constant sorrow video. i never heard any of these songs or these musicians. Im in awe trying to soak all this in. I cant believe the synchronicity of their voices and guitars blending together It is so beautiful. Thank you for sharing this. When is the next crossroads fest.?
