I do not understand the stupidity of everyone in this video... On a wood deck with no fire extinguisher and then someone thinks its a good idea to start pouring water all over the place, and with the propane tank still attached? Did everyone there fail elementary school science class?
Not quite - but the one person who DID listen in class was getting ignored. She said right at the beginning that they should put it out with baking soda, and that she had learned it in class. She even brought the baking soda, but couldn't get close enough to use it. Nobody listened to her and they told her to do stupid things instead that could have caused an explosion if they hadn't been really lucky.
actually, the way the finally handled it wasn't bad. I mean, it could've gotten them all killed, but they covered the fire and at least got the propane tank out of there.... Of course I'd never recommend trying this again, as if anything went wrong, they'd be dead.... But still... Look mom, no death! Seriously when i saw this i thought i was watching someone loose their house.
It's called "No child left behind" Bush passed it in early 2000s to stop kids from, well, being left behind in education... Problem is, the solution for kids who don't catch up (usually those who, for one reason or another, do not care) end up just being pushed through from grade to grade until they get to 16 and drop out.
I guess... I know a lot of people blame the No Child Left Behind act for causing lazy schools to push undriven kids through, causing illiteracy, but it, ironically, was supposed to solve this sort of problem.
1st off, when frying a turkey in that concoction, it needs to be @ least 50 ft away from the house. Second you should have either a fill max line on the pot, or submerge the turkey in water in the pot you'll be cooking it before starting the cooking process. That way when you remove it from the water u can make a fill line mark for the oil. & Third turn off the burner after the oil reach a temp of 350 -375 degrees F before lowering the turkey in the hot oil. Last but definetly not lease, pat the turkey dry make sure there's no moisture cuz hot oiln& moisture don't mix.
There’s a good reason why you read the instructions first…rule of thumb, never fill a pot with oil more than 1/3 full…if the pot holds 12 gallons never put more than 4 gallons of fryer oil…make sure you do a test run, put the turkey in the pot…add water until the turkey is completely covered…keep track of how much water you needed, then remove the turkey, and make a mark at the water level…thats how much oil you need…if its higher than 1/3 up the side of the pot…you need a smaller turkey…or a larger pot……never ever do this on a deck…flat ground, make a sand pit…make sure you have clearance all around you and no branches hanging close to the pot…and a fire extinguisher thats good for grease fires…if you don’t have an extinguisher, or the room or the clearance…DO NOT PROCEED…use your oven and roast your turkey…
