Oh dear. Folks please do your due diligence. Not trying to turn anyone off but it's always very important to do your due diligence. Africa has many cultures and traditions, even as an African myself, I would do some thorough research before I moved to another African country. Now coming from a whole different continent? Be cautious especially if your planning a permanent move. Find out if you have residency, is it going to cost you or are you moving as a citizen, if a citizen what does that entail. Otherwise you will be treated as a "visitor" who has to pay for residency etc which will cost you quite a penny. Find out all this before you make any move. Also, people always think of Africa as the poor continent so they think they don't need much money to survive, on the contrary, it can be expensive to settle, buying land, building, all costs a lot of money. And if you want to live in a good neighbourhood well..... yes, it's going to cost you.
It will take less than 2generations for them to be absorbed. By 3rd generation it will be like they have been there for over a century. Like the Gabon that preceded them. Those families are thoroughly absorbed within the ethnic nations.

The only difference between all these slaveries is the length for example black slavery occured for over 500 years and still ongoing in little pockets, also it was the most widespread where At least 10 European countries participated, and after ending direct slave trade, they continued via apetheid and colonialism...till date ask France.
That said slavery whether for or day for centuries is inhumane. The Berber where in the Northern part of Africa (parts of modern libya, Algeria, Morroco, above the sahara)...they initated slavery across Africa too. Most Sudanese, Congolese and East African slaves were victims of the Berbers...who were a somewhat mix of Arabs and black genes or hybrid. Their success in the slave business is what enticed Portugal and other European countries to r in the business.
