I remember going to a game when that stadium first opened I was 4 at the time and I was completely blown away by how huge it was my family member kept their miller high life beer bottle from that event and didn't show me it til I was old enough to understand but what a day I will never forget.
From George Nemitz of Green Bay, Wisconsin, I can't wait to go and see the Milwaukee Brewers play and win a good game of baseball at the American Family Field this Saturday night. I'. excited.
County Stadium was a dump...but hey, the Brewers were terrible and it only cost $5 to sit in the bleachers and watch Richie Sexson smash home runs. Then Miller Park (as it will FOREVER be known) opened, and it was like going from driving a rusted out Chevette with no radio, to a brand new Rolls Royce. I couldn't believe how awesome and beautiful that place was the first time I walked through it. Even more than 20 years later, it's still an amazing place to watch a game.
This is single handedly the most early 2000s thing ever I was born in 2003, and I can remember things being like this, so cheesy, but cheesiness is what I love about the 2000s.
I was 3 when Miller Park first opened and we lived in the neighborhood right next to the stadium. We went to a lot of games, and seeing this video makes me so nostalgic! I still love the stadium now, but my heart belongs to the 2001-2003 era Miller Park. Thanks for this great trip back in time!
robin yount, paul molitor and bob euker are brewers baseball. honestly i wish we could get that first pitch at miller back. it belongs to euker. we all know it
For real. He got two things right 1. Keeping the team here and giving us this beautiful park 2. Moving the team to the NL where they belong (cry Astro fans)

It's odd, this video plays almost like a late 80s/early 90s corporate video but it was made in 2001!
@@GnCFilmsI know! It's crazy! XD.
Haha! Hey, thanks for watching :)
I still think old County stadium was the better of the two.
Get a load of the mid 80's

You spelled UECKER wrong
even though they changed it to American Family Field and the street called Brewers Avenue now I’m still calling it Miller Park
The Sears Tower will always be the Sears Tower, and Miller Park will always be Miller Park.
@@ShutTheMuckUp Ans Splash Mountain will always be Splash Mountain.
Yes! It was Miller Parkin the 90s when it was being built. Back when Miller Park was just a dirt pile
when its time i dont think we tear down miller/american family. we update. like with lambeau. we shouldnt tear down our history.
And we aren't. It'll be the Brewers home for another 20-30 years now.
I remember the mets 1st game there in 2001
bud selig doesnt get the credit he deserves.
