Silver lounge is good Oryx lounge can get busy but has several food areas including business centre and sleep zones. When empty it does seem too big. Showers in most of the lounges which are opulent with an attendant and freshly cleaned. Heathrow was a tip by comparison with a closing time of 10pm for entry level and looked like it was a pub at closing time maybe due to the free booze ! As you say. Uk in decline.
Super comment Mark! You wouldn’t (would) believe that BRITISH AIRWAYS has again let me down - 48 hours before I was meant to be heading back to Asia… I apparently no longer have a booking, or any availability in business (on points) to get out of here. Worse still, even economy would be split over 3 legs, and one of those legs on various departure/arrival airports unavailable to book now. Not even an apology. Now flying back from Istanbul to London, to fly London to Singapore, then Singapore to Indonesia, all for their error. Service was absolutely terrible again over the phone, they’ve cost me around £500 on top of that, and now I have to suffer BA rather than Qatar (partner flight) on the new route. Splendid. Had I not have just released this video then frankly I would have vlogged my “experience” with this whole encounter. Last time I deal with them.
BA … Bloody Awful? I’d say ‘Bout Average. Not in the same league that’s true, not pulling its weight from limited experience with them. I have no need to find out when other airlines do it so well.
I only use Qatar flights where poss. Best I’ve found so far. If only the music for boarding was more varied! 1st world problems right? The Q suite flights are what to look for if you want a booth and the auto seat recliners are excellent.
I remember, the music! Absolutely. And like so many things in life, it’s the people that make a place. Typically poor service on BA (superficial, almost resentful staff - I guess given their suffering of living in the U.K.) and many Cotswold types amongst the passengers - usually the ones that spitefully try to sabotage your filming. Nothing like Asia. Crew and passengers alike. Goodbye Britain.
Qatar Airways is WORLD's best rated airport for a reason. 👌🏼 If you value great service, food, and comfortable sleep, Qatar Airways is the way to go! What do you guys think? What's the best Business Class experience you've ever had?
Very interesting video - subscribed. I agree that Qatar is several notches above BA - better food, lounges, TV screen/selection, bathrooms (even short hop First Class transfer busses!). I've flown BA a lot and from my experience they are improving (new configurations, better food) from say 5 years ago when they were really poor but they have an awful lot to do to catch up with e.g. Qatar, Emirates, Etihad. Interesting about the service - I've found BA FAs to be very good most of the time but I know what you mean - Qatar, etc. FAs exude a more genuine warmth.
Thanks a lot my friend. I’m actually due to fly with them again tomorrow… but owing to a screw up between BA/Qatar, I’m having to take a different route (the familiar one) back from London to Heathrow - despite being in Istanbul currently! I’m tempted to vlog it again but it would likely be the same kind of service, and I’d just be ranting about the administrative screw up which has cost me a few hundred quid, and a load of hassle and unnecessary miles to get back to Asia

Absolutely 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Cotswolds!
Was this an aircraft swap perhaps - I will only fly in Qsuites which is sometimes a real problem
I’m not sure… it was my first time on Qatar in business class so I’m not familiar with the Q Suites. They do sound nice though
Broo I like seeing your videos
Thanks man!
